For anyone coming to this now, I believe "trigger_once" only activates once (so if you walk through it again it does nothing) and trigger_multiple replays the sequence, or something along those lines.

it is possible to do it once with the multiple trigger function, in the outputs you clic on "Fire once only"

i have 2 questions. first can you have multiple doing the same script at the same time? or does it matter what kind of script they are doing? second question how do you make the cops chase you? in scripting cuz i cant find any script that does this

Well... i am also learning source sdk... but in UDK i would do it using a trigger and then freezing the player for a second and then let the gaurd play the animation, then shove the player backwards using a script... maybe you could try to do that in Source?

ok I set these to what they should be but why does it not want to trigger the script when I enter the trigger I tried to set it to on trigger (did not work) set it to on start touch (also did not work) any advise

Don't think it's possible, in every HL2 map I've played I'm pretty sure it's an animation or they only shoot at enemies.
