Quick correction. Keter Class SCPs are not "the most dangerous". They're the hardest to contain. Just to let you know, the noises in Black Dog Ultra aren’t Morse code, they’re an SSTV signal, a method of transmitting an image over radio waves, it needs to be ran through an image converter, hope this helps! Also FYI I’m not technically gifted or even really knows how it works, but I recognise that type of sound, it’s a really distinct set of tones compared to other sounds used for encoding, so someone else who understands will have to convert it since I’ve got no idea how you’d go about it/how to set it up

I don't think the shinning photo is from Britain: In the back an Exit sign is visible. I believe this would likely have it be in the US, since 1) British-European exit signs are pictograms, not simply the word "exit," and 2) Universalized mandatory exit signage was not a thing in the UK until 1991
@NatetheNerdy2 ай бұрын
Doesn't your second point negate the first? If there was no universal system, that means a dance hall could have a sign that just says exit, no pictograms needed.

With the truth_sticks_11 story, I'm reminded of almost 20 years ago I frequented a forum devoted to collecting a specific type of dolls. The vast majority of users were adults, and there were some men. However, the only one who ever raised red flags was one who was an upper-middle aged man who claimed to have the soul of a 5-6 year old girl, especially fashions for girls that age when he was a kid in the 50s. He had a website and we told him not to link to it anymore because there were pages of him wearing dresses and frilly bloomers and taking like a little girl, and mentioning he had ties with others in the adult baby/child community (he ultimately unlinked the fetish stuff from his normal site). This guy also had a "cottage" (more like a large shed that had been decorated nicely inside and out) for displaying his dolls, all of which he also dressed in frilly dresses and "rumba panties" and insisted on posing so they were pigeon-toes (their feet point inward, like a toddler's), even dolls meant to represent much older characters/people. And then he started talking about how he liked to invite neighborhood girls in to see his doll cottage and that's when I said it was time for him to go (I was a mod eventually).

Dude you seriously started a revolution with this guy. The images associated with the Truth Sticks 11 account are some of the most fear inducing pieces of media I have ever seen. There's a channel on youtube ran by a horror illustrator and he discusses methods used to create disturbing media and entities that would serve as horror movie villians or monsters. One idea he discusses is the inability to design any sort of horror creation that actually invokes a response whether it be disturbing, scary or simply strange and therefore interesting because horror is such a relative concept. He goes on to say that a good start would be creating some sort of character that appears human but has exaggerated features, absence of certain features or feature or extremities that are out of place. The school boy get up along with the make up he had on is the perfect way to illustrate this method of creating something everyone may find disturbing. The darkened mouth and pale skin was particularly creepy since it made him appear sickly and/or dead. Plus, the pairing of the lunchbox and children's clothing made for an especially creepy dynamic since it combined innocence with the look a serial killer would have. That whole delivery of that person and his online presence was incredibly scary and if any horror creators ever needed inspiration to move the process along, that guy would be a perfect example of a universally scary character.

This is how I learned that that photo at the end of The Shining wasn't taken for the film. Getting together a shitton of extras and putting them in period-accurate costumes just for one photo very much seemed like a Kubrick move. Also "brooch" is pronounced so it rhymes with "roach."

In regards to the weird sounds on Spotify there is a playlist i used to listen to almost every time i was in the car for like 30 minutes or longer. And it was based on my favorite band and then it just made a list based on bands that were similar. So I would hear certain songs from my favorite band which is senses fail and then some other bands like thrice, and a day to remember and then, like clock work after like ten or fifteen songs, I would hear stand by me. Like the 1960s version of stand by me, followed by a man talking very slowly about life and like what's to come not unlike the talking part following the Moody Blues excellent song Nights in White Satin. At first I thought it was from a movie or like a movie soundtrack but when I tried looking up the things being said there was absolutely nothing anywhere close to what i heard. I have always wondered how that would show up among so many unrelated songs.

Ive also had ads randomly start playing from spotify even when the app is closed. Im guessing theres just some glitch with ads that happens infrequently were they play for a sec before spotify realizes not yet and cut them off

correction on scp 106: the image you showed first is the NEW image of the scp-106 victim, an original picture made so as to not potentially infringe on copyright. the second one you had to pixelate was the original image used. back in the early days of scp, people just used whatever random creepy photos they could find and added text to it. the first ever scp, 173, is infamous for this, actually, because longterm it posed massive issues because the original photo used was of an art installation, and when scp switched to being a property of creative commons, they couldn't find a replacement photo since the original scp was so heavily based around it. in this case though, they were able to make a replacement. but nobody knew where the first photo came from, just assuming it might infringe on copyright. turns out... yeah. that's a corpse.
@fuzzy76442 ай бұрын
Wait...are you saying SCP 173's orignal image is also a corpse or am I misreading you?
@sambradley90912 ай бұрын
@@fuzzy7644 no no scp 173's image was copyrighted 😭 I'm saying that the image he showed unblurred, he showed it as if it was an edit of the OG photo when it was just a replacement that didn't have a copyright and was creative commons, and that the original image was replaced cause they didn't know if it was copyrighted or not, just like many early scp images. it was only recently discovered that the OG image was in fact a corpse

@@sambradley9091 oh phew! 😅 You are right though. I feel like back in the day we just figured they were something else and brushed off the idea they were real. For example, I thought the half-life corpse was just burnt toast and the SCP 173 image was of a mask or some sort of art piece.
