I was actually there when the 4chan alien image incident happened. Basically, 4chan abruptly went offline and when it came back online a little while later, the website was flooded with variations of an image depicting the same scene; an alien creature in the desert at the forefront of the frame on the left, and in the background to it's right was a single tree. The implication being that someone had leaked a real photo of an alien to 4chan, and in an act of damage control the feds managed to get ahead of it by flooding 4chan with fake images depicting the exact same scene, making it impossible for anybody to discern which image is the real one. It was probably some bullshit cooked up in a group chat, but the weird thing is that 4chan definitely went offline and within hours there were tons of different desert alien tree pics being spammed everywhere

As a Moroccan I'm pretty surprised that the Zarzour thing is a mystery in the west lol, anyway the guy in Tiktok is legit and he is the same guy from the mystery. Here's some information about Zarzour, he's a (not very known) Moroccan actor who played minor roles in many Moroccan TV movies from the 2000s, he was diagnosed with acromegaly and he's like 200+cm (7feet), just like the actor "Carel Struycken".. he mostly played Giant or some kind of scary character that's it. Those pics are probably from either his old facebook or Skyblog ( french version of myspace that was popular in morocco in the 2000s)

I miss the favorites feature, but I get why it was removed. Now that there are likes instead of ratings and each like is automatically added to your liked videos list, there's no need for a feature that basically does the same thing anymore. The Rex Todd/Pray For Dave about section does make some sense, to me at least. There were mentions of the kid, Dave I'd assume unless I'm mixing things up, (I have a tendency to randomly space out, apologies if I'm wrong), to supposedly be sick. But obviously knowing that the Dave kid is actually a young Keanu Reeves makes out that whole thing to be some sort of shit post, art project, or digital oddity/horror. The about me section really reminded me of how Portugal. The Man (John Gourley in specific), would write their lyrics; for instance, 'Sun Brother' or the select few songs on 'Its complicated being a wizard." It sounds nonsensical, but reading it further and breaking it down has it make much more sense than it looks. It seems to me that it's talking about some type of war, whether that be a literal war or a war raged on by this fake kids body from illness. Also, as someone mentioned, it could be a reference to Noam Chomsky, an American linguist who I couldn't tell you much on considering I don't know anything about him.

There's an obscure KZbin video that once popped up in my Recommended feed with two(?) teenage boys walking around what was either a campsite or a park and were generally being a nuisance. I think at one point they were hurling racial slurs at a family who were eating at a shaded picnic table. They started off just being really annoying but then started saying racial slurs. The comments section of the video condemned the behavior and several users said the video popped up in their Recommended.
