For those wondering, the reason that the Western Cape generally looks better than the rest of South Africa, is due to the Democratic Alliance (political party) running the province as opposed to the ANC (political party) ruling the rest of South Africa. The Western Cape once looked like the rest of South Africa because they were also under the ANC rule until they realised the ANC’s incompetence and elected the DA in 2006. In that space of time, the Western Cape has become the best run province in South Africa.

South Africa is a cruel and unjust society. It deeply saddens me to see tourist and people living in the big cities and gated communities paint it as this Lion king fantasy. When in reality the average citizen faces many hardships and fears that the outside world would never be able to comprehend. Many innocent people face tragic deaths , hijacking’s and assaults. So please remember this the next time you’re on holiday there in a comfortable hotel or in a gated house with a pool. I know my words are harsh but please understand why. Horrendous things are happening to good people and it’s being completely overlooked.

Why are you misrepresenting the history of the first residents of South Africa? Where did you get this version of history? It's important to note that the history presented by colonial powers, particularly white Europeans, about Africa often reflects their perspectives and biases.
