The problem is people think God is human and that we are doing him a favor by worshiping him. We worship cause he is GOD and it has no transactional reason. Remember we are called to serve, dont let that be derailed by other human beings and our nature to serve our own best interest.

@@luxurymsiza3003 My point is God is God whether you honor him or not. We have tendancy to think that God is reliant on us and not the other way around. Yes he may bless you and the devil may steal from you, manje when that happens you move away from God, as if you are punishing him? you are only punishing yourself. Life in abundance is not just material things, it is peace, it is joy, it is health, it is freedom from principalities, it is favor and we have those because he is God not because we had a deal or contract that if you don't deliver I exit.

I knew Vuyo while he was still a Christian. He attended church at Funda Centre in Diepkloof. Yho, this guy was struggling, things just didn't work for him then. I understand why he decided to go the way he did. I'm still a Christian mina, with my own struggles 🙏🙏

We(most of the young worshipers in the fellowship)struggled, we came from poor single-mother families, struggled to complete university due to poverty. I graduated. Took my family out of poverty. I am still a Christian today in the same fellowship that Vuyo left. Christianity has changed my life, my siblings lives, my children's lives. I knew this man when life was really tough for him and how hard he worked. Jesus is Lord.

@@Sihawukelwe Cognitive dissonance is normal. Your mind will push back on ideas, thoughts, teachings, and views you have never experienced or entertained. You will feel lonely, lost, anxious, confused. This is not to say don't be in a religion or don't believe in God but rather question everything. If everything was written and decided for us then what's the point of being here, what's the point of living, to follow and take orders, eat, drink, release, and sleep, then what, to die? I personally find that idea more suffocating and less desirable. If I'm wrong in my stance I would need God to show me, take me through that journey, see both sides, all sides in fact then make up my mind about the idea of Christ or any other religious god. I do not adhere to the concept of a God of fear and punishment but one who is willing to teach and expose and change me to live a better and fulfilling life here on earth which I hope will transcend to the afterlife.

The problem is being entitled to the things of the kingdom of God, but not willing to fully surrender our lives to God and seeking the kingdom. We live how we please and want to hold God accountable when things go wrong or when things do not go how we want them to go..God desires to work in our lives but he cant do that unless we surrender.. blessings dont just come, they come after God is done preparing us in the waiting when we have surrendered.... lets not forget that God does not owe us anything... Surrender first and seek the kingdom and then the blessing will come after Have a relationship with God and he will share what he desires to bless you with according to his will for your life❤ Lets not be religious and forget to have intimacy with our father..

At some point we need to stop Expecting God to do all the work for us when it comes to material possessions and wealth. Yes we are born into different economic societies but we as Christians need to read the bible for ourselves at some point. God has already spoken on the issue of wealth if u read Proverbs and ecclesiastes u can get alot of wisdom from king Solomon. Ppl don't really understand the bible and this is were the holy spirit is needed to help us with the revelation. The bible is a book of laws and principles ppl need to get that and follow the spiritual laws that are in scripture. Its a book that tells you that if u do this, this is what you can expect simple as that.

If seen multiple times in churches that those who tithe the most money are held more superior to those who tithe less. This is the modern church culture, especially in white domineering churches. It's not Christianity it's church culture, and all this is unbiblical. Pastors and church leaders box people differently. God never said wait passively. We wait while doing. In Ecclesiastes 9:10 God says whatever your hand find to do, do it with all your might. He also said whatever we sow, that shall we reap. So idleness and passively waiting is not a true reflection of what Christianity teaches. A child of God prays then get up and works on what he prayed about (Faith without works is dead - James 2:26)

It breaks my heart when people draw conclusions about God based on human behaviour in the church and don't ask God how he feels about it. But it also attests to the fact that you don't ask attests to the fact that you never had a real relationship with him yourself so you were never really Christian. Problem started when people started documenting their life with God, normal people like me and you, then places mentioned and us believing those places are in heaven, but the main problem was when all notes about someone's journey with God were collected and formed into a holy book called a bible, we forgot to establish our own journey with God and focused on other people's journey, worst of them all is when people are judged according to this book, same book that no one is able to live according to its principles, but quote it always selectively so where and when it suits them, we will never know God as long as we want him inside that book.i am glad people are starting to consider their journey with God without church and bible

We NEED the Bible, church not so much.. The Bible guides us, stops us from making terrible sins. The Bible helps us fight the bad desires of the flesh. I feel like you don't know the actual purpose of the Bible. Imagine we didn't know how God helped Moses/ how ppl were filled with the Holy spirit, do you think we'd have an idea of the major things God can do? Someone cannot consider their journey with God if they don't know stealing/killing is bad (this is in the Bible) so we need it. Don't give up on that book, especially the new testiment because that's when Jesus and the loving, merciful God is brought forth...
