Yeah, the best Superbowl ads are the Budweiser Clydesdale ads. I love the ones with the dogs. Also, the Mean Joe Green Coca Cola ad from 1979. Another good video on US ads is this: Classic TV Commercials from the '60s and '70s

The Tide add makes more sense if you're familiar with Superbowl commercials. It's basically a parody of all the other company ads over the years. It's probably more of a cultural thing and not a great introduction.

Good selection. You should check out Running of the Squirrels, Cat Herders, EDS Airplane. These were all EDS (Electronic Data Systems - now HP) super bowl commercials. There are others, but these 3, in my humble opinion, are the best. I love Running of the Squirrels...lol

Tide should owe you some $$$ then. ;P Superbowl ads are very expensive (Hence the ad with the monkey tapping his foot in the garage; "We wasted 2 million $. What are you doing with your $?"). So usually, they put their best foot forward (sort-a-speak). Budweiser used to have all the best with the Clydesdale horses, the Budweiser frogs and "WASSSSSSSSUPPP?!?!?!?" - Don't think they will be able to afford a commercial this year.

You should come to the Midwest around springtime.. we have a species of mushrooms called Morels that you’d love. Very tasty. They grow in the spring when it starts to warm up and it rains fairly frequently. They’re usually dusted in flour then fried. Most often in butter.

I know it was confusing, and you guys didn't seem to like it, but that Tide ad is straight money. The ad agency that created it basically turned every single ad in the Super Bowl into a Tide ad by reminding viewers that everyone is dressed to perfection, clean with no stains, in every ad you see. And they did it by buying just 90 seconds of ad time. 30 seconds of ad time during the Super Bowl costs between 6 and 7 million dollars. It's a brilliant ad from an advertising point of view.

The point was to keep your interest until the brand reveal at the end of the commercial. As it is costing the advertiser $6M for a 30 second commercial or something like that they are trying to get your attention by not being obvious. Some companies are so well known that it doesn't matter. As a personal note - these were not the top 10 or 15 all-time Super Bowl ads. You need to find another source like "Most watched Super Bowl commercials" or "Highest rated Super Bowl commercials ever". Might have better luck finding the real good ones.

Maybe he is lactose intolerant, but that generally isn't one that sneaks up on you. Normally, you know right away/within a couple of hours because of the explosive diarrhea of your digestive system rejecting it . 8-10 hours later the next morning doesn't sound like a lactose problem to me. It could be even worse (not danger wise but in what foods you have to give up) and end up being celiac disease, which would make the problem gluten. Not a lot of lactose in pancakes. Sure is a lot of gluten, though. My fingers are crossed it is neither and just something that solves itself.
