I felt that your response gently reflected my feelings and, perhaps, of the silent millions who have seen and listen to this wonderful ''Bonobibi''. Thank you!

That’s the best compliment ever! Thank you for that.

This song is as much about living with harmony with nature as it is about living in harmony with each other. Bonobibi is the name of a forest goddess which is worshipped by Hindus and Muslims alike. While the goddess protects the villagers from tigers, pirates and such, the myth of the Goddess itself brings two communities together. There's also a reference to Sojan Baidar Ghat, which is a Bengali poem from the 1920s about a Hindu girl who falls in love with a Muslim boy. Their love symbolizes the unity of the two communities. Their love continues to flourish until some outside forces trigger a conflict. When the lovers realize they cant be together anymore, they both commit suicide by drinking poison.

This is my most favourite comment ❤️ I have reacted to a few more songs but unfortunately KZbin keeps taking them down. Editing them doesn’t give it the right feeling, takes away so much of my reaction and people get a bit angry with me 😔

@@IAM_SALEM aww, that's so sweet of you, thank you so much❤️ Yes actually coke studio bangla blocking videos for copyright issues, so, i think you can make videos in a deferent way, like putting all the iconic cuts, that you find attractive, then describe it over all what you felt listening to them. Or how did you enjoyed it. You have to find a new way to make Videos, but i definitely want you to keep on making videos, and Don't stop please. They're is a lot of reactors who Doesn't really go to the root of the song, do not touch the details, do not share how do they relate the song, or how does it make them feel. They just do react cause they want their Videos to gain views. But, honestly this is the first time i saw you talked about your growing up in a rural area, somehow the song brought you way back to 100 of years ago, and exactly that is what i felt after listening to this song. Your reaction was the most satisfying one for me, cause your thoughts were exactly what i felt hearing this song. I would like to recommend you a song from coke studio Bangla, it calls "darale duare", this song my most favourite one from Season two. And i would love to say why It's my pick, It's because, first of all this is a Classical type of love song. secondly, The CONCEPT and CINEMATOGRAPHY, also this song really relates to 1800-1990 Literary era of Bangladesh, specifically Bangli novels. And also the back up dancer, that dance calls "karthak", which is a type of Bangali traditional dance.❤️

@@tanzinairin3069 you are so sweet for giving me these tips. I did react to Darale Duarey! I loved it and it’s funny because I picked up on the cinematography and the interpretive dance and figured it was traditional or had some type of heritage. It felt like watching a play at the theatre, how the 2 lovers were above and below and then were on the balcony together. Anyway, they didn’t let me post my full reaction, so I cut it down and then people got mad at me for editing it and cutting out parts - they were saying I need to listen to the song but they don’t understand I did listen I just had to cut out parts. So that kind of hurt 😔 and then a few days ago KZbin took it down completely even though it was edited so heavily. I will try figure out how some reactors do it…I think they have favourites haha, because some of the reactors are allowed to watch the full thing. I’m not sure. Anyway, you’ve lifted my spirits and I will try again to edit it and post it. Or maybe I will react to it again using a different method. Thank you ❤️

The message at the beginning of the video says: "The brush strokes of Sultan and the parables of Khana Still lovingly call upon us to the mountains and seas This song is our answer to that call" Sultan refers to SM Sultan, a Bangladeshi artist from the 40s who used art to express his views against colonialism. He used to paint scenes depicting everyday village life, but all the villagers are drawn as bulky muscular men. In the video, SM Sultan's paintings are projected behind the artists. On the other hand, Khana refers to a 12th century Bengali poet and astrologer. She observed the relationship between the position of stars, calls of animals, and the passing of the seasons. She distilled this knowledge in the form of short poems and fables that were passed on over generations. The choir at the beginning of the video were singing verses from Khana's poems.
