VERY NICE, interesting seeing the difference in signs from the ones I know, your signs for January, February and April are different. Thank you for expanding my vocabulary. enjoyed the interview at the end aswell. thank you.

I watched #1 and #3 sign language videos. (I use ASL, personally,) I think they would be more popular AND easier if they were taught more slowly, and with some sort of context in mind - a more related context, I think.

Hi Hela, thank you for your insight! This channel is mainly for my UCT SASL students to revise and practice after their lessons and for their practical tests. The context etc. are taught in class. This might explain why it's a bit different to normal ASL KZbin lessons. :)

Hi. Helpful videos. Thanks a million. Please repeat the signs because seeing it once and having to rewind is tedious. And sign slower like you did in the first one. Thank you

I would suggest you download the video and use vlc player. It allows you to slow down the video

You can slow the video down here on KZbin. Go to the settings cog symbol on the video, click playback speed and it allows you to slow down the video at 0.75 , 0.5 and 0.25.

Does it matter which hand we are using?

Hi! Just a question... why are your months different to that of the SASL DEAFinition app? Is one correct and not the other or are both accepted?

Does anyone know if it is okay to sign '3' with your ring, middle and index fingers instead of pinky, ring, and middle fingers
@ViweSaliwa4 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't that be the letter "W"? Not sure though, still learning

@@ViweSaliwa Oh right it would! I completely forgot about that for some reason, thank you for replying

Hi.. I am trying to follow these videos but it is extremely difficult to read the word in the left hand corner and loik at the sign at the same time. Also if you could repeat each sign to give enough time to read the word and learn the sign? There is nou sound with the conversations which makes it extremely difficult to read the sentence underneath and look at the signs.. How am I suppose to learn? If there is sound, one can concentrate on the signs.. I would love to learn sign language!

Hey Guys thanks for the videos. I am wondering if you guys could help me. I am a SASL student at the North West University in my 3rd year. Unfortunately there is not a strong Deaf community around and I am wondering if it would be a possibility to connect with you guys on a personal level. I dearly want to make SASL and Deaf friends.

does anyone know of places to study SASL if one is not attending a university and do more deaf and HoH people use SASL or ASL?

Hello! There are a few SASL courses online - here's one (open to everyone) digitalcampus.co.za/online-short-courses/basic-conversational-south-african-sign-language/ We use SASL in South Africa. :)

I find this SASL very confusing, I am currently studying SASL at wits and most of the signs are very different from the one am watching on this video
@tiefseblief6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kamogelo! :) SASL has many different dialects that vary by region, age, cultural group, etc... So it's very common to find different signs amongst different signers! Regardless, it is still SASL, but I'm not surprised to learn it's different to the SASL vocabulary taught at Wits.
