It can be a little confusing with the "I'm nothing without this pain" and the "I'm happy with this pain" lyrics. The whole concept of the song is that as humans we find love, go through the relationship and break up at least once in our lives, but we learn from the experience and the pain from those relationships and we keep looking for love. We're nothing without that pain and experience cause that's what makes us who we are as a person. So while it can be interpreted as sad and painful because heartbreak sucks there will always be hope for something better.

For those who don't know, Jennie's rap scene is not the original one that appears in M/V, but it is edited because The Health and Medical Workers' Union of Korea said the outfit "followed the typical depiction used for sexual appeal . " For this reason YG modified the scene wanting to respect the request, in my opinion, but also in the opinion of many others, the nurse uniform in that scene was not absolutely sexualized as it happened in the past in which nurse uniforms were used in some M/V of kpop but the request to delete the scene was not made! And these M/V in question still exist in the original form, and in particular in one that I have seen the nurse uniform is strongly sexualized!
