Bama got blown out by one of the worst teams in the SEC. Ole Miss lost at home to one of the worst teams in the country. A 9-3* SC is the only 3-loss that should get serious consideration and they probably get in over a 10*-2 MIA. Pending the acc champ game.

SC got hot after barely losing a couple of early games. They lost to a top fifteen LSU by 3 points, and ON THE ROAD AT #1 Bama by 2 points. They had an injured starting QB/RB going into the Ole Miss game. So YES, they had a bad game with a rusty injured starting QB and RB. But injuries to key players IS A CRITERIA for the CFP. And then South Carolina goes on an unbelievable run to end the season WINNING SIX GAMES in a row, FOUR of those wins against RANKED TEAMS, and they were an unheard of 4-1 on the road. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they DID NOT lose to an UNRANKED TEAM ALL SEASON, and that is the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOUTH CAROLINA, BAMA AND OLE MISS. IT'S NOT HEAD TO HEAD. IT'S HOW YOU FINISH!!! The end of the season is much more important than the beginning of the season. It's not how you start, it's how you FINISH!!! That has been the MANTRA OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR DECADES!!!! What South Carolina has done this season, NO OTHER TEAM has done. Notre Shame LOST to Northern Illinois. SMU LOST to UNRANKED BYU. Oregon played against TWO RANKED TEAMS all season long. SC has played SEVEN RANKED TEAMS. Bama LOST BY 21 POINTS to UNRANKED Oklahoma, who South Carolina DEMOLISHED 35-9!!! Bama also lost to Vandy, who SOUTH CAROLINE also DEMOLISHED 35-7. Ole Miss lost AT HOME to UNRANKED Kentucky, who SOUTH CAROLINA DEMOLISHED 31-6!!! Ole Miss also LOST to UNRANKED Florida!!! South Carolina HAS NOT LOST TO AN UNRANKED TEAM ALL SEASON.

Exactly that’s why they make the rankings because those teams lost to unranked teams. As a real SEC fan I know that this team was built to compete with the BEST. So pound for pound we have done what NOBODY expected so let us be the team to represent the “At Large spot because we have been working to win Large games. 9 wins 6 in row is hard to do considering you have the top 25 schedule and all season you’ve been overlooked. Gameday came to the campus to tease us. But now they know to that we are South Carolina. We’ll win the Natty this year and next year back to back 11:16 .

It won't be long before the Bama trolls show up. Their actual fans are pretty chill because they know they're brand is why they're ranked above the Gamecocks. Alabama should be ranked behind South Carolina and Ole Miss after that horrible loss to Oklahoma not even 2 weeks ago.

Gamecock fan here. Clemson LB Sammy Brown was extremely impressive to me. He was all over the field and probably saved a TD on a long run by Sellers on SC's first drive that ended in a lost fumble. I don't think he was in the defensive package on the TD run by Sellers that took the lead. He has NFL written all over him.

Sammy Brown was their second highest graded defender this game with a 73.8 pff grade

Lanorris was also a first year starter and injured early in the season. With a better Oline he'd look better too

Run defense was good because the ends didn't push up field but stayed and prevented Clemson from getting the edge which is when they are best.

No he is not, he’s not refined as a passer quite yet to be labeled the best QB in the SEC. But he’s absolutely better than Milroe and a top 5 QB in the SEC

I'm surprised why everyone is so sure Ole Miss should be behind South Carolina but Bama in front?? The head to head for Ole Miss is better against South Carolina. They beat Georgia too. What other wins or achievements put Bama up? Is SOS as no one actually mentions that. I say most people still see Nick Saban in their minds when they think Bama. But he's gone and that's not the team you'd send to the playoffs

In all honesty if you're truly trying to get the 12 best in, you don't argue about these 3 SEC teams. You simply put them all in. These auto bids for the mountain ass conference are ridiculous. Can you get rid of the billion dollar committee. Give me a legal pad, a pen, and 10 minutes and I'll give you the 12 best. Ohio States QB is horrible. You cannot win this tournament without an elite QB. Miami has struggled for close wins all year against terrible competition. Putting SMU and Clemson in and leaving any of these 3 loss teams SEC teams out is absurd. SC is red hot. And BTW SC kicked LSU's ass. That roughing the QB call on a pick 6 interception is so shameful. Who would vegas favor between SMU and all these teams. Can Clemson or SMU compete in this 12 team playoff ? They can hang their hat on saying we made the tournament. But, they have 0% chance of winning. Both of these teams would be 4-4 or 3-5 in SEC play. Would you bet on Boise State to beat Alabama? The requisites for this format prevents you from having the 12 best. It is a DEI format. Base this thing on merit , logic, and likely betting line.

Exactly what I've been saying. South Carolina is ranked above Ole Miss and Ole Miss should be ranked above Alabama. This sport is run by people that want to control the narratives as much as they can. It killed them when Miami and Bama both lost late in the season and they're still clinging to the blue bloods even though South Carolina has done nothing but beat a lot of good teams since October.
