All fun, and I will head back sometime when I learn more. Would really like to visit the south coastline of WA. Thanks for the vid. Really appreciate a chance to escape and dream. All the best

I always hated hooking into stingrays. Pulling them in felt like pulling a giant plate out of the water. Biggest one I've ever landed was about 2ft across, that was a good fight. I had hooked into a big old plastic bag a bit earlier in the day and thought my luck was so bad that I had snagged another one. After it started to move against the current I figured I had a fish and not an inanimate object. I broke more off than I landed for sure. Great video Gido, always love seeing what you get up to on the other side of the world. Makes me miss going out to the water just a little bit more every time.

Surf fishing is just about the most exhilarating; running in and out with the surf to cast and retrieve; getting wet.... the sound of the surf; the wind...... and in Australia you got the whole beach to yourself most of the time even at a not so remote location; great nature stuff! I remember once I was surf fishing and there was this hail storm just out of no where; nowhere no hide, fortunately they weren't the big stuff; still hurt though... an experience I would not forget for sure!

Gido you need to hook up with field days (Fdys). He has caught some slobs over the years. Huge silver ghosts. You have to find those nice deep gutters and nice big baits. For once we South Aussies have something more plentiful than you fellas, big Mulloway and I mean big ones. We get plenty down here here in South Oz and they are beasts. Down south of Adelaide along the beaches is wicked for them, but we also get them coming into the suburban beaches and the Port river and West Lakes. I remember as a kid fishing the Murray Mouth with my old man and his mates back in the 1960s, with big home made cane rods and Alveys and it was a wild treacherous spot, with the Murray river unloading into the ocean and the size of the Mulloway were seriously massive. If you ever come over here to South Oz i'd love to take you down there. Where do you get those sinkers from, I don't reckon I've seen those before. Great for pitching soft baits like pillies
@gidosfishingadventures Жыл бұрын
Yeh I’d love to do a trip to south oz sometime. We get more Mulloway up the west coast around Perth and north towards Kalbarri but very elusive on the south coast. I get the sinkers from the local tackle store. I think “red mullet fishing” gets them in but I’m not sure who from

Then in only 20 minutes of diving I swam right over a 40+ lb. GT following a massive eagle ray, a decent bluefin trevally, and about 6 small car sized loggerhead turtles under a ledge that were very playful and swimming right up within arms reach below and at the surface.
