South Dakota Late Season Pheasants, Before The Cold Front Moves In!

Back out to the prairies of South Dakota to hunt pheasants with the dogs, ended up being able to time it so we could hunt 3 warm days before an impeding cold front moved in, we walked a lot of miles but caught up some of those late season Roosters!

Tough walks! Dogs looked tired but very willing. In regards to gloves I’m all for heated gloves in cold conditions like to describe. Thanks for all the effort you put into making videos!

That bird at 8:00 is going to be a bit bismuth fortified. :) Perfect shot! It's so tempting to walk big fields eventhough I know it's not as effective nor efficient for a single hunter. But with multiple dogs, it's a bit manageable in terms of ground coverage. I can't tell how fast you walk from the videos but I have a tendency to speed walk when in the field and the dogs feed off of my speed.

@@in.hindsight He had a little bismuth in him! :) I tend to walk fairly slow, I feel as though it makes birds more nervous and then I’m less apt to walk past them, especially in the cattails.
