The boys head south and shoot a couple of red deer and some wild rams. Also get a bit of a shake from the Kaikoura earthquake. Sorry about the sound in video had a few problems with one of our cameras.

Do you boys realize,when your dragging up your animal,up or down hill drag them so the hair goes the natural way. I noticed you dragging that young hind by the back feet and the hair on her was all ruffed up so each step you had that added drag. By just turning the carcass around and dragging her head first by the front legs the hair would have been smoothe as you go and not pushing against you. Just a bit I learned young here in the mountains as a kid.

Why don't you go ahead and skin out those hams? Instead of chilling themskin on? Seems it would take longer and be more dangerous bacteria wise.

Haven't watched all of the video yet but I will say well done in advance as usual quick question aswell what would you say would be the minimum cal for a rifle if red,fallow and sika were your targeted species cheers mate and keep it up lads
@finninnes29737 жыл бұрын
.243 does the job
@johnburke89447 жыл бұрын
Finn Innes cheers would you be confident on a big red stag with a .243 95-100gr bullet doesn't seem to leave much margin for error not that you should be expecting any
@gruntabro16 жыл бұрын
243 is a popular round , seems to work for some , a friend of mine has always used a 223 on sika , I use 308 win mainly
