Surprising how South Korea was able to still economically develop given that they were in such dire straits till 1980. While, we in India had been a mostly democracy since 1945.

They have homogenous society, that either go south korea or Singapore way when good leader lead them or north Korea way when bad. India can suffer incompetent leaders like Nehru and enjoy great leader like narashima Rao and just change a little bit as per the quality of leader. Even with Modi India didn't change much but come it to what Modi has done to Gujarat how greatly he has change that state.
