Si vous êtes amateur du Steak Tartare, les Coréens ont un équivalent nommé Yukhoe. Il est plus simple à réaliser mais tout aussi raffiné.

Correction, please. Korea was not 'a vassal of China'. Adopting good political systems/philosophies and applying them to our own political and cultural governance doesn't automatically make you a vassal. European countries adopted Christianity, does that make your countries vassal countries of Rome? You skipped mentioning ' Three Kingdoms Era' by only mentioning Shilla. How Goguryeo fought hard against mighty Sui and Tang dynasties' overwhelming troops and stood its ground, how Baekje's culture influenced Japan, etc. Having said that, our relations with China had been friendly and peaceful most of the time. FYI, Korea is a small country compared to continental China in terms of size and population. But compared to Japan, Korea had never been under their power or influence except for the last century's loss of freedom and independence. We drove them out during the Imjin wars in the late 16th century -the final winner of the Sengoku era, Dokugawa Ieyasu invited Joseon correspondent envoys after the war, paying all the expenditures related to it,. We were about to do the same in the last century if the atomic bombs hadn't been dropped - Korean independence fighters planned to launch an attack in September the same year and drive the Japanese army out from the peninsula starting from Seoul. I can't help but be angry about a certain American scholar's thoughtless comment, ''America liberated Korea'', As if Koreans had done nothing for our independence. Korea has kept its independence, language and culture shedding blood and tears against foreign invasions throughout the history. And FYI, we Koreans enjoyed peaceful and prosperous ancient, mediaeval times most of the time when the Europeans were at each others' throats.

Ok, that is an interesting point of view. Full of national pride however. ahhh Actually in France, we all get taught all the time China have had many vassals countries in all eastern Asia, and those countries would pay them tributes, among them Korea or Joseon, at least during the Ming and Qing dynasty. You certainly have heard of the 'Samjeondo' incident, where the king of korea recognise the supremacy of the new chinese dynasty. Hong Taiji, the jurchen leader at that time, nowadays have it's name meaning emperor in Korean as well. Of course this does not takes anything from the astonishing economic developement and wonderful history of north/south korea.

Another FYI, Mr. Yun, who caused a very dangerous fiasco a couple of weeks ago - he's never been my President - will be impeached by the Constitutional Court of Korea. Maybe in 60 days or so, not longer than that, as we Koreans demand he should go as soon as possible. I knew he's a 'yes man' to America, but also turned out that he's a yes man to Japan. The Quad or whatever deal he did with Japan, not a single one was approved by us. The majority of the nation was against the 'subservient' way he carried out his diplomatic duties towards Japan, which created enormous public anger. We cannot be true friends with Japan, unless Japan deals with their war time history in the last century properly and in details, not burying them in their deep psyche. So that tragic history may not be repeated.
