I last rode Mr. Toads over 20years ago and was extremely winded too. But boy what a wild ride it was!

MTB Savant Oddly enough as much pain it was to get up there, that trail was probably the best one I've ridden as well. The one guy said Downieville is better. I personally like that we had to earn that ride and it just had a slice of everything I love about riding mountain bikes. Glad you were able to make it.

I'll withold judgement until I ride Downvieville myself, but I totally feel ya. I love the "backcountry" ride of climbing and descending. As you say, pay to play.

Mr. Leatherfoot crashed when I rode with him and Robert. He cut open his knee pretty good. He is a warrior that is for certain. I plan on riding Tahoe trails next several weekends. If you want to ride up there let me know. I have been on most of the trails and know enough to get us lost.
@mtbsavant5414

It wouldn't be a ride without a MLF crash lol. I think he opened the same wounds on this ride that he got on DV. Next few weekends are tough. It's looking like Sept at the earliest for me.

MTB Savant I did the Cane Creek DB Inline, my buddy did the DPX2. He didn't seem to notice that much of a difference and honestly it looks like he has more pedal bob now. Mine is night and day... completely different bike. We both had the bastardized Trail Tune with the XC can. I couldn't use my last 1" of travel without going to almost 50% sag. But I am 250# too...

Great riding on your part showing just how capable the Yeti SI platform is. The switch infinity bikes can't be judged by the travel numbers "114mm" on your bike because it's so compliant and balanced with the front end "140mm Fork" giving great geometry to tackle that Tech fest of a trail. Thank you for another quality video MTB Savant !!! I'm looking forward to riding that trail with you in the future

Awesome video! We were just up in Tahoe a couple of weeks ago and road Mr Toad's for the first time. The climb and technical section at the top are no joke. After the ride I felt Mr Toad's was the best trail I had ever ridden, until we road Downieville the next day. You have to try Downieville if you haven't already!
