Another good video, Joe. I appreciate that you show what it is like 'on the ground' in Baja. You are right to focus on the road conditions, which vary greatly here in Baja. I swim every day at the marina! You really have to watch out for rocks at low tide. I got cut last week. I run every morning, and one thing your viewers should know is that running here is really dicey, due to the perros. I was bitten my second day in San Felipe, just walkin' down the street. I run where they use the ATVs, those sand dunes. There's nothing there for dogs. Take care, and thanks for the video. I wondered what was south of SF.

I have been in Baja for over 25 years, and I am also a runner. I live in SF and go to the desert every morning with my dogs for a run. I have one dog that is a little bravo, so I try to stay away from populated areas. I learned this the hard way also. I have been all over Baja in the past on motorcycles and 4x4s. I love Baja, but it has changed a lot. Still beautiful place if you get off the main hiway. Thanks for the Video.

I drove that road back in mid to late 80s when it was a washboard dirt road , the people were alot nicer there then

I love San Felipe. It's still a great place. Sure, there are a couple of jerks everywhere. The same grouchy lady that used to yell at you for running across her grass at age 10. Her and 8 cats live in San Felipe today. Ha ha

But if you go to San Pedro Mártir National Park you will fingid a total different geography. A lots of green and forest, about 7000 feet high. You can camp for really small fee. 👍🏾

What about the crime rate down there? You always hear so much about that in the media and it keeps many people from going.

I travel all over the world. 60 or 70 countries so far. When I talk too most people, they think the US sounds like the most dangerous place on earth. One shooting after another. There not wrong. Mexico has its problems, no doubt. In Baja with basic caution, I've always felt safe. More so than a back road in Sinaloa. Even there, you pay a "guy" a small fee to use a road and off you go. Too many people watch Narcos and get scared. That's like seeing a documentary on South Central LA and being afraid of Beverly Hills 5 or 10 miles away. Tijuana had violence issues. Its a huge city. Larger than San Diego (I think) Most of that trouble is "business" related. Stay out of that business and you'll be fine

Don’t drive to Mexico’s main land very dangerous. Baja very safe, been going there for many years, never had an issue, yes take the normal precautions. Good luck

Oh sorry, you meant what about if you had an emergency? Yes its a rural area. If you broke a leg or something, your going to drive 50 miles. Hope you have an automatic, and some vicodin.
