What would we do without "things" to gather and later purge? It seems "things" are a large part of the economy and life. I classify pie and ice cream as essential "things". We were ready for a change to something that was less stressful for us. We always worried whether the slides or the jacks would fail. The Airstream we bought is really the only model we thought we could live in fulltime.

We were just in SPI for Spring break and I think we ate at Yummie's 3 times! It's my FAV! We also stayed at the KOA and ate at Pier 19 once for dinner and once for breakfast! OMG try their oatmeal at Pier 19!

It is nice that you visited south padre island. There is a county park all away north pass all the hotels and to your right last year full hookup was $45 a day. They also have access to the beach on the gulf coast side and you could drive your truck on the beach. Love your videos y'all doing a great jod.

I see you made it to SPI. If you go down the main Blvd. downtown SPI next to La Quinta & Marriott you will find Claytons outdoor bar grill, it all facing the beach. Every weekend they have live music and firework show at 9:00 pm. You can also take a stroll down the beach and hear the waves. Hope you enjoy your stay. Also Progresso MX border trip is a must. Many “Winter Texas” or “Snowbirds” Rvers go over and spend a day, very safe, and great margaritas I hear!

Wellk Pier 19 burned to the ground in early march 2022, but camping is still aviailable.. you can drive those pristene beaches and camp there for $12, but totally off the grid and no ammenities.

I went there in 1971 and there was 3, one story hotels and a road until it stopped. There was nothing else but beach and the Laguna Madre. I can't believe it's grown into a city.

Almost! 😊 We’ll be back but not sure when quite yet. Oh definitely, I’m Italian but we eat Mexican food more than Italian 😂 Hard to find good Italian that is gluten free.

That's part of why I asked ... cause I knew/remembered. ;) I'm just thinking ahead in the event we get to take you guys out for dinner one day. LOL

Vinny was a 40 footer, yes. We wouldn’t have any problems getting Vinny in and out of that park. We put him in some very tight places. (at TT Las Vegas & TT Idyllwild). It’s a little more tricky with Stella.

Texas use to sell a pass which was good for a year and you did not have to pay the entrance fees.

Padre Island looks like a nice place to visit. I'd like seeing the Sea Turtles, they are my favorite. When they had that snow storm awhile back, I had no idea they would be effected. Never seen so many sizes of turtles together. I think it was filmed here where you were? Was it, via news. I so very much enjoy your videos. Have a really good week both of you.

I have a question, treading carefully since some folks are very touchy on the subject lol. I am curious how would you get a COVID vaccine living full time in an RV? Here in Florida they opened to 50+ so getting my first one Monday. Figure every advantage to not die from COVID is better than none but I am in sticks and bricks so easier for me I would guess. Whether you get a vaccine or not, stay safe and really enjoying the videos with the awesome new rig and airstream.

Good question!! It would depend on which vaccine. If getting the type that requires 2 shots, a person would need to stay in the area long enough to get the 2nd shot.

We were at Isla Blanca Park in South Padre the end of January this winter. We got to see the SN9 SpaceX test rocket go off from g to he park.

But you went to South Padre and looked at RV parks…..did you not see the miles and miles of white sand beaches that you can drive on for miles and miles. That’s the attraction of South Padre.

Yes, that’s very well known down there. We knew about this and we drove down to beach access #5 and it was a little too late by the time we got down there and it was not advised. I don’t recall what the sign said when we got there but we turned around. Seems like it was due to the tide. We have not have the weekends to explore and went to do other things during our time in the area.

Great tour... but you’re pronouncing the word “playa” incorrectly... here in Texas we have lots of Playas. It’s pronounced ply-a, not play-a. It means beach in Spanish.
