Fun facts in this episode: •Cow Days is a reference to Burro Days, a tradition celebrated in Fairplay, Colorado. •The Cow Cult that forms is confronted by the FBI and then ultimately commits suicide when they forcibly take away the Cow Day clock. This is likely a parody of two topical high profile cults during the 1990s. The first would be the clash between Branch Davidian and the ATF and FBI in 1993. It was a 90 day stand-off when the religious cult refused to allow the ATF searched their Waco, Texas compound after they obtained a warrant based on weapons and child abuse allegations. The stand off ended violently with the FBI storming the compound in tanks and the Branch Davidian followers purposely lighting fires. Seventy four Davidian worshipers died in the conflict including their leader David Koresh.

I remember back in the nineties on Dallas local news they showed that some Dallas Mavericks players were at Six Flags Over Texas playing the basketball carnival game and none of them could score a single basket! A police officer got up on a ladder and dropped a ball directly over the rim and it wouldn’t go through! They shut down the game! It was completely rigged!

Yes, actually! In 1997, AuctionWeb became Ebay. Stuffed toys were hugely popular at the time, specifically beanie babies, and accounted for 10% of all listings that year on the site, according to Wikipedia. So it's reasonable to think that they could have just bought official T&P merchandise online. But the truth is, I went to local county fairs when I was a kid and played the (sort of) rigged games to win extremely mediocre prizes, even though I had (the family desktop computer with landline interfering dialup*) internet (and thus Ebay) at home too. 😆

@@TheMark21-sz6uw First time my family had Internet was with the windows 95 the time when it was connected to the phone line (don't know the true name of it) where if I remember correctly made it impossible to get phone calls if you was online. I don't know exactly how Internet was during the time because there was extremely small use to none use of Internet in our household max 15-20min per month, and most site took ages so it was not worth it and some time lead to fights over it. We didn't have windows 98 or 2000 next was XP and during that time had Internet change what I could say for the better.
