South Park is definitely genius. And it goes a bit under the radar because it's animated and because the humor is also not to everyones taste. People should be able to look past things that they might not find funny, or even find disgusting, to see the true genius of the show, and some people just can't do that.
@davidcopple8071

I served in the U.S. Army. Our Drill Sargents were just as animated and motivated as these Marine D.I.s . My platoons Drill Sargent was worst of the bunch. The very first day he challenged anyone of us to a fight as long as we signed a consent that didn't allow you or him to press charges. Nobody volunteered so I never got to find out if he was just bluffing or not. But he was crazy enough not to be. He also openly encouraged violence between recruits if one person was messing up. In fact he didn't only encourage it by saying so he of course encouraged it by punishing everyone else for any particular recruits failures. I was witness to a few "Blanket Parties" as they were called. But our Drill Sargent never let up. Even after basic training, aka Boot camp, and we began our MOS , ( Military Occupational Skill), which was combat military police. Unlike every other Drill Sargent in our company, he never softened or eased up. He remained just as intense as he was during Basic training. In fact my little brother had just finished his MOS training and came to my training unit to visit with me and he was beside himself that we were still being treated like raw recruits. I'm not saying that Marines didn't have it somewhat worse and more intense. But U.S. Army training wasn't exactly a picnic by comparison. I'm now sixty years old and I'm dealing with complications from the injuries I thought I had fully recovered from but only to have them revisit me in my later years and now I'm disabled. Anyway thanks you for your praise of the United States of America. I've trained at Fort Hood Texas with British soldiers who came one summer to train with us for a couple of weeks. We got along well for the most part. Good people.

My margaritaville is ordering out food. We go grocery shopping every week and we plan ahead for meals when we do but when it comes time to actually have certain meals I may or may not feel like eating them because I am craving a pizza or Chinese food or whatever, Then I play the justify game to see if I can reason my way to ordering food instead... again. Nowadays, I can't remember the last time I ordered food on a whim and since then I have been able to control my cravings and found a new perspective on how much it hurts our budget. Spending a year and a half in isolation will do that to ya.

It makes perfect sense that cartman would be the Judas in this situation because of the connections he has to Kyle. Their dichotomy means that they’ll always be uneasy friends who come closer in tragedy or tear eachother apart depending on the circumstances. Episodes where they’ve come together would be like make love not war craft, it’s a Jersey thing, jewpacabra, the game of thrones trilogy parody, the fellowship of the lord of the rings, crack baby athletic association, the debut of PC principle called stunning and brave where Kyle encourages cartman to stand up to PC principle and even puts his arms around cartmans shoulders. The you’re getting old episode where Kyle doesn’t wanna be Stan’s friend anymore because Stan is being such a downer so he spends the entire episode with cartman and near the end they’re playing video games together and Kyle smiles at cartman and he gives him a smile back, indicating that cartman might just pick on Kyle so much because he’s jealous of how close Kyle and Stan are. I’ve always considered them more frenemies than anything

When I was 14 my grandmother put money in the bank for me. Told me if I didn't spend it, it would increase, it was called a savings account. About a year later we received a call, the account was empty and they needed more money to keep it open. I hadn't touched a penny. It was al siphoned by monthly Bank fee's. I never wanted to have a bank account again, if I had kept the money in my bedroom I would have gotten to spend it.

What I like most of this episode is that the journey stan goes through about the "margerita ville"/mortage securities is actually accurate. Also the end hits even harder because of how true it was; getting an actual valuation on those packages was nigh impossible, they would need to go house by house for the millions of houses in those securities to determine their valuations accurately (because math behind it turned out to be bullshit). And that is besides untangling the different synthetic securities which were basically bets on the default rates of a bunch different pieces of other security packages. So any re-evaluation of a mortgage could have a ripple effect not only to the security it was in, raising interest rates for everyone in the same security, but also of all the synthetic securities which bet on valuation of that security.

Just yesterday i went back and watched your reaction to 'Randy's best moments part 8' and clips from this episode were used. Knew you'd react to this sooner or later 😆

I used to think South Park was peak absurdity. Then I watched Danny McBride in East Bound & Down. Not many people have seen it but it's the most anti PC thing I've ever seen, and my utmost guilty pleasure. 30 min ep/live action/continuous storyline

Is funny how well this episode aged. This episode is more relevant today than back then when it aired.

What's even more hilarious to me than this episode is that when the 2008 recession hit, they gave bonuses to the bankers who caused it due to deregulation. Regulation kids, it always works, always.

Another suggestion, please do "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs". It's one of my top personal favorites, the ideas within really resonate within me on a deeper level
