One of the reasons they get away with so much is because they make these episodes in 6 days so comedy central has to either be willing to work with them or miss an episode if they ask for to many changes. They might surprise you OP. My friends and I ride motorbikes. I got them to watch this episode with me - we all pissed ourselves laughing. I guess it all depends on how seriously they're going to take a cartoon... and a few jokes at their expense. It was no skin off our noses and there was lots of laughter. It even started an in-joke (we'd occasionally do the mouth engine noises where appropriate). It's probably a good litmus test to see who around you is a humourless fk-witt. The part where the reporter calls the biker a f@g a couple of ties and the guy says "I bet you won't say it again" is a throwback to an interview that Jim Rome conducted with Jim Evert years back. Rome kept calling him "Chris Evert", a femal tennis star at the time, and he told Jim Rome I bet you wont call me that again. Rome did, Evert grabbed him and the interview suddenly ended. 😂😂 Good stuff! You can find it on youtube and is worth the watch.

Yesssss. This episode has me howling every time I watch it. Great reaction vid! Interesting note on this episode: Matt and Trey were TERRIFIED of releasing this episode. In the creator commentary, they admit to being fearful of this term sticking to Harley riders and Hell's Angels types because of possible retaliation. They go after dictators, politicians, suspected murderers, etc. But this was the episode they worried most about changing society because they intentionally tried to get the F-word to be permanently taken away from the gay community and placed on another group. The balls on these guys.... XD

I like how this episode points out that the meaning of the word has changed a lot over time, but despite that we insist the pejorative terms refer to a specific group and are not willing to let the meaning change while simultaneously acting as though the reason why we won't let it change is because of how harmful it is to that group... So we're just going to keep it as a pejorative term against that group in order to protect them from it?... And that makes sense??? 🤨

Jokes aside i feel this way about a lot of pejorative terms and slurs. The meaning of curse words change all the time. Many of them disappear entirely. I doubt a woman would be offended if i called her a 'cherry' (slut) or a 'strumpet' (whore). However these past few decades we've tried to ban certain curse words because we find them offensive. And while i honestly believe thats well intentioned, it has the side-effect of locking a curseword in place. If we were still allowed to say the f-word it might very well be on its way to have a different meaning by now. Hell, when this episode came out it legitimately was already changing away from something purely meant for gay people. However we decided it was a slur that cant be uttered and as such have locked its meaning in place and ensured its continued survival. And because we've made it so taboo, it has become way more powerful as an insult when it IS used.

Hard disagree. Words like that don't get 'locked into place' by discouraging their use. That would actually have the opposite effect. Bigots will still want to broadcast their bigotry so they will just use more acceptable disparaging terms instead, like 'degenerate', for the same group. Once they've associated that group with 'degenerate', they aren't going back to using the F word, even in private. The word will be unused and forgotten, or the meaning will change. But expecting it to happen in a lifetime is pretty optimistic. It's a slow process no matter what.

We have plenty of harley riders and other people who think "Duh, what's a muffler?" and drive by our house all hours of the day. 20+ years of those bastards. I hate it and definitely love this episode.

Hey dash! Glad you watched it 😀. Yeah its thought provoking and just like the "with apologies to Jesse jackson" episode they use the word about 2000 times. I bet trey and mat wrote this episode after having to deal with some annoying Harley riders. I understand that this episode is kind of hard to react to on youtube since the platform is not great with understanding words in context, which is kind of ironic since it is the whole plot of the episode. Love your reactions and you deserve a lot more subs. Ps. Margaritaville is a great episode on the economy.

Where I live we just had a huge bike festival, and I have to admit - putting up a billboard by the highway of Cartman welcoming all the "13 year old girls" to town (probably couldn't use the f-word itself) might be the funniest waste of money I'll never be able to afford.

I mean, I'm perfectly fine answering your original question the way it was asked. I was Bike-Curious until about February of this year, when bought my first Harley Davidson motorcycle. I absolutely love riding it. Most of the time when I'm out riding it's got a lot less to do with wanting people to be looking at me and draw a bunch of attention and a lot more with the joy of the ride; the wind in my face and the freedom of the open road. Now, if I happen to catch someone looking at my bike while I'm out and about, I'll probably rev it up a little bit to show off a touch, especially if it's a kid who is trying to get me to make some noise, but in general I just wanna go about my ride and getting people all worked up over the noise is counterproductive to that goal.

I have watched every single one of your South Park reactions so I'm going back through and rewatching them again. That's how much I love reactions. No one comes close to how good you are at this. There's a couple of other people that do reactions all the time but it's just not the same

This is the most relevant episode to me since the day it aired. I do say that at these exact same people and references. I can’t stand loud vehicles and I have no problem what your sexual presence is as long as it’s legal, and don’t tell me about it. And the JiM rome bit this the best thing ever. 😂😂😂😂

This episode really made me think about language when it was released. Basically usage is governed by people, so language is descriptive rather than prescriptive. Earlier that same year I got my motorcycle license and my first bike, so this episode really made me laugh harder than regular. I have two bikes these days, my track bike; Yamaha YZF-R1, and my daily ride; Triumph Speedmaster.

As someone who thinks you can make a joke about anything and that words can change I always come back to one thing, intent. What are your intentions in saying a word? Is it to hurt someone? Belittle or make them feel like less of human? You can call someone a "dirty towel" with the same hate or malice that one might use the N or F word and I believe that that is what matters, not necessarily the word.

Bro, I'm addicted to watch your South Park reactions since two weeks ago. When I watch a normal episode, it feels like something is missing hahaha You're doing a great and funny job here, big hug from Brazil. Oh, my suggestion is to watch the Black Friday (Game of Thrones based) and Coon and Friends sequences, maybe two 40min videos reacting to all the "sagas" in each one. Sorry for my english btw, I think it's not perfect yet.

I I've watched this episode many times throughout the years and never got the Emmanuel Lewis reference, having been born in the late 90s. There's just too many times where I've rewatched SP and finally got some really obscure references. Matt and Trey are will definitely go down in history as one of the greats.

The sign at 9:00 was more of a subtle reference to The Westboro Baptist Church. God Hates F*gs was basically their slogan and around the time this episode aired, they were incredibly active and well known.

Hey I'm a new viewer. I've been checking out your vids the last two or three nights. I always appreciate your take at the end, like how you perceived it watching it in 2022 and how it applies to today. It really makes me appreciate the art of South Park, how episodes from over a decade ago are still very relevant today.

There's a weird lining with each episode, where without context, one party is talking about one thing, and another talking about another thing. If one of the parties talks about their thing, the other party will take it as if they are referring to their own thing, and without providing specification towards one thing, it will be a whole mess.

In case people didn't get the joke, the reporter asking the, "fags," questions, came from an incident in the Jim Rome show years ago. He was interviewing NFL QB, Jim Everet, and kept referring him to Chris Everet, the female professional tennis player. This was an attempt to attack his toughness on how he was playing more like a woman. Jim took offense and after he gave Rome the ultimatum, then flipped the desk over, and went at him. This joke was spot on here, lol

I don't have too many issues with people on Harleys in my area. Even the assholes who don't have mufflers on their vehicles aren't terribly common. But the assholes who like to crank up their bass music as loud as their shit speakers can manage are pretty frequent, and that is significantly worse because that that bass sound travels further and penetrates through buildings.
