The using "towel" as an insult joke is a callback to towelie's debut episode (which you already watched) where whenever someone called towelie a towel in an insulting manner towelie's comeback to that was always "No, you are a towel" which made no sense because he is literally a towel but nobody ever mentioned it. It was also followed up on subsequent towelie episodes, mainly "A million little fibers" and "Summer camp" so now it appears "towel" is just a general insult. Either to someone's attitude, intelligence or integrity.

The truth is it takes one bad day for a single person to go insane yet a single week can impact thousands of children stripped away from their families to seek revenge and closure leading for such build up to eventually explode and become the enemy the republicans swore to get rid of but it’s more stronger and more dangerous than what they could ever fathom

I actually have an idea for another Coon and Friends, *but* the already *have* a Joker for The Coon: Cartman’s brother. He went full “Death in the Family” in the banned/forbidden “200” and “201” episodes, *AND* he lived and escaped. He’s the perfect gateway for Matt and Trey into reintroducing another South Park Superhero arc or game (The game was pretty epic, especially story wise). 😂😊

I think a better metaphore for this than "Mexican Joker" would be Bane, cause that is literally his origin.
@MonstrumAsylumАй бұрын
That is true but at the same time I can see the creators of South Park be a little more cautious in adding Bane instead of Joker for a few reasons one being that bane has shown to be of Mexican origin and would likely be too on the nose and maybe some audience members would view that every Mexican is Bane and not comic bane but the Dark Knight bane something that Trump obviously believes but it isn’t true in fact everyone has the potential to be a Bane we just have it locked and not easily broken free not to mention the Mexican American community might see the concept as racist and put into a bad light, and the creators intend to make South Park comical and also add a message which this episode entails that because your nation is powerful doesn’t mean you have the right to shun people away that’s what Europeans did to past America and it led to their independence, Mexican Americans will likely be at the same path and fight for their independence against the Republic
@SimoExMachina2 Жыл бұрын
This episode reminds of Cheech Marin comedy called Born in East LA, where his character who is an American citizen, but looks Mexican, get caught in raid by immigration and failing to produce any ID (he forgot his wallet to home that day), he gets deported to Mexico.

That's just Towlie's comeback for whenever someone calls him a towel. It's paying homage to earlier Towlie episodes.
@joels5150 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, mainly it comes from the “Million Little Fibers” episode where Towlie writes a book and Oprah puts it on her book of the month club. When he’s being interviewed, he keeps claiming to be a real person and the interviewer keeps pointing out that he is, in fact, A Towel. His standard comeback is to just accuse everyone else of being a towel.

@Princess_Celestia_ Жыл бұрын
Just because it's legal doesn't mean they won't f**k you over for it. The ATF f**ked my neighbor over royally for growing tobacco in his yard for private use which is also legal. They argued he was growing it to sell it, so they tore his tobacco plants out and burned them then charged him. The charge was eventually dropped but because of qualified immunity and it not being a civil rights issue, he was barred from suing them for damages to his property and for destroying his tobacco.

7:20 “Yeah, me too” no. It’s because entering the United States using non-legal methods is illegal and has been for over 40 years. Separated from claimed parents because we don’t put children in jail with adults and the adult might not even be their parent at all. The idea of a “Mexican Joker” is an attempt to fearmonger into allowing illegal behavior and laws to be ignored. It’s not saying, “you can’t be here.” It’s saying, “you can’t trespass and ignore the laws here.” Would your rather the children be left to fend for themselves or taken to a detention center where the government cares for them while trying to find a place to house them at?

No, "fat, intolerant asshole" has a double meaning. Kyle is referring to Cartman and the Latin kid was referring to Trump. The towel insult goes way back in the early seasons. When Towelie gets high people call him a stupid towel (as an insult). Towelie then throws it back at them as if agreeing with them that "being a towel" is a bad thing, because he was high and thought it was funny. Nowadays it has become his thing to get so angry that he uses himself as a derogatory example and so "you're a towel" has just become what he does out of habit from when he was always high. Other Towelie episodes you need to see are: A Million Little Fibers, Medicinal Fried Chicken, & Crippled Summer.
