I love how they complain about not winning an Emmy for a lot of episodes, but when they actually do win one, they make fun of it by sticking the trophy in a log of shit in the episode “More Crap.” The show is awesome. 🤣

Matt talking about how funny yelling "cripple fight" is and that was always my dad's favorite too.

Must be a dad thing as might used to shout it all the time.

Its like those little intro clips they put on the first few seasons on VHS where they’d introduce each episode as their Favourite

It's an inside joke that goes all the way back to the original VHS tapes for Season 1. They did a bunch of really over acted interview-style intros where they're petting a dog by the fire, playing guitar for elderly people, and answering questions from a fake producer which eventually intros an episode by them saying "This episode is called [episode name] and it's very special because its our favorite episode!" Then about halfway through the season they did different intros dressed as corny TV cowboys from the 50's and put it all in black and white while always saying the "It's our favorite episode" in every one of those too.

The Earth Day guy who murdered his ex girlfriend died in prison in April 2020. He was known as the Unicorn Killer and claimed the CIA killed his girlfriend to frame him because he knew their secrets

In hindsight, season 5 was probably one of, if not /the/, most influential season for the show. You’ve got Scott Must Die, which really pushed how far Cartman as a character can go and set him up the be the way he still is today. Then you’ve got Bin Laden Has Farty Pants which was South Park saying “no, we can do these episodes quick and we’re not going to hide from these big news stories just because of how recent they are”. And finally you’ve got Kenny Dies, where they learned that they can change the dynamic of the show and come out fine.

Regarding Kenny. The season after this one proved that Kenny is no longer an essential character to the show anymore since it felt like not a lot was missing from season 6 as a result of Kenny not being there and what replaced Kenny was superior. Season 6 is my second favourite of the show (with season 8 being my favourite)
