Very strong analysis. One thing I’ll add that I believe you missed however, is that South Park is also commenting on how they are no better than these influencers, as they are equally as aware of how many kids watch the show, and how they also in a sense are marketing an adult product to kids based on advertising these specials on “younger platforms” such as tiktok. Rather than the episode pointing fingers at people like Logan Paul, I saw the episode more so as them acknowledging that sadly this is how the content game works, where companies, including South Park themselves, will always try to market towards the most loyal of consumers; that being children.

the A and B story are 2 sides of the same coin, its about ALL influencers and companies whose target audience is children or "adults" but either they're content, or advertising is not suitable for children, or easily accessible by children, phub and other sites hide behind a button that says "are you 18" that has 0 verification, with that said, the responsibly falls on the parents first and foremost, you as a parent shouldnt allow your child to access things that are inappropriate, which is impossible, but what you can do, is make it more difficult, and monitor what your child is viewing. alot of people arent gonna like to hear this, but giving your child unfiltered, unmonitored access to the internet is child abuse, you are knowingly allowing them to be exposed to everything from xxx content to uncensored footage of people having they're heads chopped off in the streets of mexico by the cartel, its your responsibility as a parent to make sure your child isnt exposed to things they shouldnt be, if that means monitoring them aka watching your kids, thats what you need to do. we should allow adults to view adult materials, but parents should make sure the things theyre children are viewing is suitable for children.

Man, if I had to make a guess when South Park first came out if it'd age well over time, I never would have thought it would just get better and better and still be running today. They developed the characters and fleshed them out as time's gone on, unlike how most characters get treated in other long running American cartoon shows. Normally in American cartoons the characters end up being dumbed down over time (examples of this include the Simpsons, Family Guy and Spongebob among many others) and the characters just end up becoming bad parodies of themselves.

@@harryfromends yeah i think a few shops here are selling "special flavours" (imported or fake) for silly money. I have 2 kids who keep banging on about Prime, Vaping, doing dodgy tiktok "dances", that "can i get a hooyah" thing that sounds like bedroom groaning. Can't wait for it to all stop.

im really happy south park has balls to stand its ground against any and all trends that come now and days because they are all negative as can be even though they seem positive on the outside, its an evil virus and a spread of disease how much "influencers" try to harm every single one of us that we are forced to live alongside with.

Influencers promoting gambling is taken so lightly by a lot of people, but it’s a seriously harmful and addictive habit that should never be shown in a light and fun way

Yeah, I understand and also sometimes drinks like that isn’t really that good I’d rather go with a Dr Pepper or just lemonade or a really good raspberry iced tea

Wish there was a British alt for this, because honestly the craze is much bigger overseas than it was here in the US

The UK definitely had a massive craze, but even that seems to be dying down now!

In Canada from the day Prime came out it has always been stocked. Nobody really drinks it here 🤷♂️ not like the states and UK that is. You can literally get any flavour at any time at almost at any Pakistani gas station.

It’s the same here in the UK now, crates of it in every store!

@@harryfromends it is about damn time considering all those immigrants that migrated to your great country to work in convenience stores and juke the price up for kids. Disgusting behaviour.

I have no idea who any of these “influencers” are and never heard of this prime drink.

Ive never heard of prime until this South Park came out

I’ve heard a few people say this, which makes me wonder if this has introduced people to prime on a scale that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise

7:40 because in that once instance they'll make more money then a shop keeper who works for 40 years... 5 years no one cares and they are retired at 22 years old.

Hearing about the massive shortages of prime confused me at first because at the time you almost couldn't give it away here in Wyoming. Every store in town had them marked down to like 50 cents just to move them.
@harryfromends Жыл бұрын
It’s nuts because this was the case in a lot of America, and now the UK, it’s genuinely an overproduced drink advertised as a scarce commodity!

I literally never saw anything about Prime until I saw a bunch of them at Wal-Mart... And even then I'm literally just now finding out that Logan Paul had anything to do with it... How do literally live on KZbin and didn't know about this??? Lmao
