This was a great show, I hope that these little pockets of unique wildlife survive for many more generations. I think we owe it to the future generations! Thank you so much!

I miss Texas so much. I'm going to try and reach out to TPW to see if and how long they keep records of sighting reports for animals that are critically endangered and supposed to be extinct to see if there were any updates on the paperwork my mom and I filled out sometime between 2008 and 2012.

I live in Ontario Canada, and I have a prickly pear, growing in a gravel hill on my farm, it came from a cutting of a plant growing in a prairie in southern Ontario that was slated for development. I was asked to adopt the cutting because I have the gravely hills. It has grown large and has lovely yellow flowers.

Just yesterday I was recounting my memories of childhood in the Brownsville area 60 years ago and how beautiful it was…I also said I didn’t want to know what had been done to it. Sadly, now I know.

Excellent insight into these unique habitats. I also appreciate the fact that you name the species in the titles which is a huge help - just remember that to a European, 'blackbird' is a thrush

Aplomado Falcons are not released on Padre Island as much as they claim in this video. Private Ranches on the mainland are the main release sites as well as Laguna Atascosa NWR.

The Author also mistakenly claims that hunting is the cause for the demise of the Plain Chachalaca is hunting. This statement is incorrect. Like all wildlife in South Texas, diminishing habitat is the greatest threat.

But effective, born & raised in Brownsville & live there, it’s so uncomfortable when at night illegals try to break in, when you have your daughters asleep & our city full of Covid due to their release plus not tested because Biden administration doesn’t allow it yet is releasing thousands daily

I'm from south Texas and love seeing things I haven't seen in a long time. When people talk about Florida I try to explain that where I'm from, it's very much like Florida and they don't seem to think that's true. "You'll see birds here that you also see at home." MMM well Im from that area and now about 75 miles north of Houston. Uh, no, I don't see any of those birds at home lol. Not everyone lives in the more northern parts of the country.

Welll. So much for a great Nature show.. went political.. everything is poisoned with politics.
@shadetreader2 жыл бұрын
Kkkonservatives are the ones poisoning everything with their politics.
@emmilypalmer92692 жыл бұрын
@3:42 instead of making light of some thing that should be made more serious, (outside the human impact) how about you take a stand and voice an actual opinion instead of just laughing and shrugging it off? I guess that too, “is the American way”. What a joke this country, and it’s sad sheepeople people have truly become. I can’t even watch the rest of this show. turning it off now. Thumbs down 👎
@shadetreader2 жыл бұрын
I guess they're too afraid of offending kkkonservatives by having a meaningful opinion about the gross human rights violation we call the US border.
