Last Sunday in June, and the conditions are a little wack, there's a weird "dust haze" in the air and its not exactly Sunny. But the wind is up and its still super hot, so the Redfish gotta be right in the shallow clear flats where they always roam mid-day. Something you might think about doing on your Nasci is replacing the drag. I recently did mine and it makes a big difference. The Nasci has felt drag washers. I went with Carbontex and put Cal’s drag grease on them. The max drag increased about 10% but also got much smoother. One thing I found out is that the felt drag will wear out much faster than the carbon fiber drag. As many big reds as you catch (damn) it will probably save you a sudden drag failure one day. Great work and tight lines!
