Great fishing! Nothing beats wading and catching lots of fish like that. Love those drums they seem to fight hard

I know it is and I didn’t plan on bringing any fish home. If I knew the trout would be eating that hard I would have but never a bad thing to release fish!

We are catching them like that in chocolate bayou right now at night. But I have lights. The gar are too thick for live shrimp, so I am using pearl white 4in gulp swimbaits.

Bro...nice video and great day fishing. However...gotta release all trout for a while though. So completely not cool seeing you keep some! 💯💯💯. We all gotta do our part! Keep the drum...keep sheepshead...keep reds....let the trout go for the foreseeable future 🙏🏻🍻🤷🏼♂️
@KagenFishing3 жыл бұрын
The few that I kept was due to the hook getting down in stomach/ ones that were gilled and bleeding bad and I felt would not have survived a release. I had no intention of keeping any fish that day

Hey Kagen! Love your videos and was wondering which length of power your rod is, I know that it is a Waterloo phantom.
@KagenFishing3 жыл бұрын
I like the 7ft medium moderate. I feel like it’s a good all around rod. It has good sensitivity but also a good backbone for the bigger reds.

What would be really cool is for someone to show on google earth just 3-4 spots that don’t require boat yak or anything to get to just wading. I’m from north of Fort Worth Texas and one down there once a month just to bring home 2-flounder. Or 2-trout, 2-redfish, 2-fish, the locals seem like I’m going to clean the bay out, I usually come home with 4 fish, and I am mostly catch and release most of the day. I just like to try out the lures or baits I make to see how they are. If it weren’t fir 1-3 guys I can call but not every tine tell me kind of where to go. Would just be nice to hv other spots tho to, and do t mind correcting someone who’s really taking advantage of the situation or loud or destroying someone’s hole that was nice enough share info. And I find 98% of one to two. Daters like me are very selective courteous of fish and area. I’m learning ya sing google Earth and with help of Salt strong classes and info and app reading. Tight lines everyone
