I think the diversity of cars that people think are “classic” is wonderful. I was screaming at my I pad as you passed by the Aston to go to mid 90’s mush. Beauty in the eye of the beholder. Of course, personal experience colors our view and its fantastic that people hang on to these cars for us to all enjoy. Great video, thank you.

My first car was a brand new 2000 (W) silver ka collection. The sills went on it went rusty in under a year.

I recently got rid of a Merc C350 CDI and bought a Rover R8 416 Tourer. I love it. Not only does it not go into limp mode on the mtorway when overtaking multiple HGVs, but it's simple to work on and a nice practical driver. 48,000 miles, new cambelt, sills, doors and cavities filled with wax and the blue chip Honda engine. It should outlast me.

The 'Allegro' Vanden Plas 1500 was handbuilt and Vanden Plas coachworks and retrimmed with additional sound deadening. It was much more than a rebadged Allegro.

My grandad had a zephyr 6 column shift with a pull out handbrake . Me and my brother used to sit up front on the bench seat no seat belts ! different times.

11:30 The bullet-proof V6 engine in the new S-Type Jag is a Ford Duratec block (as used in the Mondeo ST 220) with Jaguar-designed heads and variable inlet tracts.

The bullet proofing comes from its's Japanese origin as it started life as a mazda unit as ford owned 35 % of mazda at the time

@@TheMRmadhatt I thought that that engine was what was also used in the MX6 & Ford Probe, which wasn't the same engine as that used in the Ford Cougar, although Wiki says that there was a Mazda version of the Porsche-Ford unit.

Unfortunately, our Ka (only a few thousand miles) is extremely rusty, on the floors, sills and at the bottom of the A pillar. The interior is practically a garden too.
