Ironing board seats - wrong profile with no lunbar support and no spacers between the seats, and that annoying announcement all the time. The operators really go out of their way to make travelling by train an unpleasant experience. Good video though.

The DfT are mostly to blame though with their overregulation on everything including how seats should be. Though the announcements are seriously irritating, that 61016 announcement can fuck right off. Four year wait for the worst Aventras in the network.

Having been on them both consecutive days, I personally disagree. The ironing board seats are actually quite padded and fairly comfortable compared to other trains such as the 700, and I personally didn’t find the announcements to be annoying. I do agree that the seats are a little on the narrow side though.

It would be difficult to do your ironing on those. The profiling does make a difference, although it is difficult for anyone of average size to sit centrally in the window seat because it's too close to the wall.
