Arne Slot set the team up really well tonight once again. We played a really good first half. I think in the second half they took their foot off the throttle & allowed Southampton to get back into the game. Personally i think we got lucky at the end as they very easily could have scored another but then again we had a fee good chances to get a third. Right result at the end. Bring on Spurs on Sunday. Cant wait.

To be fair, it's a cobbled together team that hasn't played with each other. When there are so many changes, especially to the structurally important parts of the team, you're always going to struggle against a prem/championship side that plays mostly their first 11. We had two goals: 1) give players with a lot of minutes on the clock as much rest as possible, and 2) win somehow with what we could put out given goal #1 and our injury situation. We did both, playing Endo who isn't a CB and Quansah who isn't ready for this level at CB, job done.
