Very interesting and informative footage. Was this filmed aboard Aquitania?

I did notice that the car carrier in the modern picture was docked at the same berth that the Titanic sailed from which is Berth 44. I did also see in the modern picture the Queen Mary 2 docked at Berth 38. I being from the USA have been to Southampton a few times before getting there aboard the QM2 and in a few weeks from the time I'm writing this message, I will be back to Southampton again aboard the QM2 for another round-trip transatlantic crossing from New York. This time the QM2 continues on to Hamburg, Germany after sailing from Southampton and after Hamburg the QM2 sails back to Southampton before the Westbound transatlantic crossing back to New York where the QM2 arrives on October 25th and where I disembark off the QM2 after spending 18 days aboard the QM2. This means I'll be in Southampton twice on October 14th & October 18th.

Hi, Thanks for your kind interest. For your interest the Council have opened God's House Tower at weekends from the where you can see berth 44 from the top, I hope you are aware that the US Army HQ for D-Day was in a wing of the Civic Centre (town hall) and there is a plaque to remember the event. Many thanks, Kip
