The game im not too sure we can beat Southampton because our team is a disgrace I can't trust loppy to do the right thing and just use kudus upfront he the only one who can run with the ball through players and keep hold of it so I would play him upfront bowen on the right summerville on the left and guilherme as the 10 for this game use scales as left back coufal has his moments and areola back for me

They played alright against a pretty decent Fulham team! I’ve got a feeling this will be a draw but if we’ve got any ambition to finish top 10 or better then it’s a game we need to win particularly with the next 2 games we’ve got to play! I can’t help feeling after the Leicester game how can you feel confident of beating Southampton. You have to earn very win they are fighting for their lives . I expect them to gain a manager bounce and Downs will have a blinder . This is a potential banana skin . I shouldn’t be panicking but we still have midfield and striker issues. We all know what we need in midfield and upfront but the problem = Sullivan . Will he wait till the summer transfer with the new manager .

The irony of the youngsters situation is the 2 who potentially could be ready are Potts and Orford who for differing reasons are not getting a sniff,and we are seeing Scarles and Casey who are both miles off prem level.

I'm not calling for Jlos head. But if he is sacked, then I'd take Russel Martin. We'd struggle a bit, but come the summer and some younger more exciting purchases, and I think we'd be playing lovely football. Really don't want Potter. Also, how is it every Christams we're away to Southampton? I have only seen a few games every season (I live abroad), and Southampton away has nearly always (not 22/23) over Christmas? 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2024-5.... Ipswich home is the only other game I've seen so far.

@ obviously you’ve never watched him. At Swansea and Southampton, he took bang average players and turned them into playmakers. Should’ve seen him in the championship. Should see how his teams play when he’s got good players at the level of everybody else: loses by the odd goal in 5 to Liverpool this season. The difference was a penalty. He had journeymen playing out of their skins. Potter? Remember Chelsea? Had Martin had that chance, even you'd be a convert. Insanity yourself, mate.

They are all excellent managers, who, if given time (and in Martin's case some money) will excel. Martin would do well at West Ham; Potter, not so much. Would like to know why it is you think Potter would do well? His time at Brighton? Chelsea?

I think we are trying to make the Soler loan permanent so we can get Ferguson in on loan, the rules have changed but as I understand it we can only have 2 loans players at any one time (they can't be from the same club) and we can have a maximum of 4 loans in a season so we would need to make Soler or Todibo permanent in order to get a player in on loan and albeit Todibo is an obligation it's still cheaper to buy Soler, the fact he's been our best player bar AWB recently makes it bashed more sense... I don't think we could afford to buy Ferguson outright in January...
