Hi Carole! Oh my I love the Funfetti fabric and the top is lovely. Greg has Raynaud’s too. I had never heard keeping the wrists warm helps. I will share that with him. The Beavers sure are adorable. Your grandson should be so proud of all the badges. I love VivMom too. I will watch the video you shared. Have a great weekend! ❤ Diann

Hi, Carol, glad you have a wonderful holiday! It’s always bliss to be able to just sit and read, isn’t it? I love that funfetti fabric, it make a great looking sweater. I’m with you on that cross stitch, it takes forever. I used to do it years ago, pillowcases, baby bibs, dresses, etc. Then one day I put that stuff down and decided I had to much other stuff that I actually enjoyed doing. I have been trying to teach myself how to knit for 2 years with no luck. I’m a crocheted, so you’d think I could pick it up fairly easily, not. I need someone to sit beside me to show me step by step. I watch video after video hoping that THE one will pop up, but no, it never does. I’m such a visual learner, but evidently not from knitting videos. I wanted to knit a pair of socks, but since I can’t, I’ll have to crochet them instead. Oh well, I guess i can’t be good at everything, lol. The pictures are perfect, I absolutely love that beautiful bird of paradise. Take care of your ankle😅

I have some Funfetti to get made up and interesting to hear about your band. It is always great to take something on the plane and mine is usually crochet or cross stitch. I am in the middle of a crochet cardigan but have just realised it’s far too big 🤣😂 possibly pass it on and go back to blankets! Keep the foot up and take a few books along with your knitting. Look forward to seeing you next week and enjoy your week x

Hi Izzy thanks so much on the congrats! I was so impressed with the embroidery machine and the faux leather as I didn't think my little machine would cope and I only floated the fabric. I suppose I might go through a few needles though as I am thinking it may make them blunt. I am still desperate to have a go on card as well as a lot of people do that. I was so sad about my ankle, I nearly cried 😫 Not being able to run is bad enough but that has put pay to my Ramblers Group as well and that's the only time I ever see anyone other than family! It is mending though so I just need to be patient. Argh... I hate getting older. Right... I am sat in the holiday home and Chris is still working so I need to get the needles out...if I can remember how 😂🧶 Have a great weekend my friend xxx💗

Oh, that French terry is gorgeous!!! Yes, Vivmom is great - I'll check out that video. The hats are adorable! As is your grandson (telling you something you don't know, right 😁?!?). You'll have to teach him how to sew the badges on - that's one of the things I did to get my Girl Scout sewing badge, which totally makes sense. I do cross stitch and needlepoint because they're relaxing and meditative - and I don't have to worry about how the fit is 😆!

No I certainly can't ! My first vlog was so terrible and I never thought I would get 6 people subscribing let alone 6000. I am honestly blown away by it all and it has transformed my life! You have some Funfetti too? What colour did you buy? My daughter is so jealous of my top and wants something made in it too but Andrea only has pink and white at the moment. I do love the look of the pink though. Now I have done a fair amount of crochet but little things, I did do a blanket a few years ago and I have always wanted to make a cardigan...what a shame yours is turning out too big! I may crochet a couple of those little hats actually as they were fun to do as well. Thanks so much for watching and have a great weekend 🧵😊

6😊😊😊! Congratulations Carole, I'm so happy for you. What a bumper edition. You must have such a big collection of shirts and sweatshirts by now, each lovelier than the next. I know they are easy to wear, but I'm not much of a sweatshirt kind of girl. My go to is more a comfy fitted shirt with a cardigan over it. But I make the cardigans from all kinds of fabrics which keeps them a little interesting for me. I'm so glad you didn't break your ankle! Stay safe and have a super week!

Thanks so much ! I love your emoji 6000 😂. Funny you should mention about tops and cardigans. I have a wardrobe full of different colours of cardigans that I barely ever wear now and I used to dress like you! Perhaps I have become lazy with my dressing. Having said all that yesterday when I filmed that video I was wearing my top and then after put a lovely orange cardigan over the top 😆. I am so glad too I didn't break my ankle!! It is on the mend so I think in a couple of weeks if I am sensible it will be ok....I just need to be sensible 😉. Have a great weekend 🧵😊

Thanks so much for your comment and we obviously have the same taste in patterns! That 8556 top is really nice and I have made in wovens and in knits, obviously it is a looser fit in the knit. The Kwik Sew jumper is a good one but I always take out the curve in the waist 😆. Have a good weekend 🧵😊

Congrats on 6K. Not surprised though because I love your channel. Your Southbank sweater is so pretty, beautiful fabric. Looks so sleek without the band. I'm almost finished with my second oven mitt. My least favorite part is putting the binding on through all those layers. The rest of it is pretty easy. It is going to look really nice when it is finished. I started making dress for my 2 year old granddaughter. I finished the smocking and put the whole front of the dress together and then realized I didn't have enough to finish the back. Oops. I had to order more fabric from Etsy and it finally came. While I was waiting for the fabric I have been crocheting a hat for her. I crochet very slowly, but it is almost finished. Those little hats are adorable. I'm leaving next week to see my California grandkids. So I have been trying to get everything ready to take with me. Hopefully it all fits them. Have a great week and thanks for sharing.
@socarole6619 сағат бұрын
Thanks so much Carol for your lovely comments, especially on my channel 🥰 I am so happy you are making the mitts and it always goes so well until the binding doesn't it! I look at those Caddies that people make and think, how can you bear to do all that?! How frustrating for you to run out of fabric but glad you managed to get some more, can you imagine if you couldn't? I have brought my crochet hook to the holiday home as well as the knitting needles to make those hats, got to keep up the crafts before I forget them! Have an amazing time in California with the Grandkids, they sure are lucky to have you. Enjoy your weekend too 🧵😊

Hi Mary, oh that fabric is gorgeous isn't it? I had it sewn up in a flash, funny how you can do that when you want something badly enough 😂. Carole! Congrats on the 6000 subs. 🥳🎉 I love your N6000 pattern. It's a very vintage Jackie-O look! 😎 WOW!! I'm glad you are wearing your sheen microfiber looking top. It' looks FABULOUS on you. Great fit and color on you along with the jeans. That funfetti top!! SO CUTE!! It doesn't need the band. Looks great. I do like the waffle knit. I actually just bought the identical burgundy waffle knit at Hobby Lobby last week! You did great with the fat quarters. They look perfect for the spring! You can use those trims for ornaments. I've embroidered on the faux leather/marine vinyl. It's amazing how nice embroidery looks on it. I try to sew as good for myself as for others. Currently I'm sewing Annabelle 3 dresses! Yes 3! She wants them for the holidays. And your mini-hats are ADORABLE!!!!! Have a great weekend! 💝💝
@socarole6619 сағат бұрын
Hi Grace, thanks so much for your kindness!! You are right about the Jackie O vibes on that dress, if you have that pattern I bet it would really suit you! I am pretty sure I got that fabric from Hobby Lobby actually on my last trip so yes, it must be the same. Can't wait to see what you make from it, it will be amazing whatever as you are so talented. You are making three dresses for Annabelle? How wonderful and I bet you are thoroughly enjoying doing that 👏🏼. That Fat Quarter box has been so successful for me, much better than the dressmaking fabric subscription boxes where I always seemed to end up with a fabric I couldn't use!! Hope you have a good weekend too...now I need to get knitting! xx💗

Sparkly fleece now that sounds amazing! I hadn't heard of the Baloo sweatshirt so I have just looked that up. I like the gathered detailing around the waist and cuffs. Welcome back! I'm sure I am not alone when I say, "I've missed you." I had a giggle when you mentioned your 6 hour cross stitch. Back in January, I finished a Christmas cross stitch that has taken me 36 years to complete. I was going to frame it, but have decided it will be too heavy, so have decided to quilt a frame around it and make a wall hanging. I love your confetti top! I thought it was a jacket with a black zipper at first. Gorgeous! And the Advent hats are so cute! By the way, I remember sewing numerous badges over the years. They are all grown up now. Thank-you for the memories. I hope your ankle heals soon. 🌻 Bernadette
@socarole6620 сағат бұрын
Hi Bernadette. Oh my word 36 years??!?😂 Mind you I have a few unfinished ones in my sewing room too. What a wonderful idea to quilt around the cross stitch, that had never even crossed my mind that was possible. I hadn't thought of a zip up jacket for that fabric and yes you are right, when you see it on the mannequin it could be just that! I still have my brownie badges I think somewhere and I am sure I kept my childrens. Such happy memories aren't they. My ankle is raised as I type this and thank you, it is on the mend.
