My grandfather went to textile manufacturing school and worked in management in several mills. Later he worked for Saco-Lowell installing machinery all over the world. May father also worked for the same place and did the same job. I worked with my father installing roving frames in Laurens Mill when I was 16 years old. We also installed part of the first cotton dust vacuum systems there. My father warned me of the coming end of the textile industry so I worked in other industries that were replacing textiles. I'm retired now.

My first job was at a place called Burlington industries. It closed it down though. It was a good place other than the job security area
