Van living is pretty common in the USA and Canada. But here in China, it's something relatively unheard of, and most likely frown upon as it will be construed as no different from being homeless. Kudos to the young couple for choosing a lifestyle that suits their aspiration. Wishing them the best and disregard those ignoramus hateful comments.

Even in the USA people living in rvs are considered homeless. We got a bunch of people living in rvs here in Oregon. The problem with them is they leave garbage all over and they park on the side of the road till a cop tells them they have to move then they drive down a block and wait another week for another cop. With that being said this couples rv looks nice . Most would just think they are travlers till they see the van multiple times for multiple months. With how expensive rent is I don't blame people. I do auto upholstery and make decent money but it's impossible to live here by yourself even with two paychecks it's tough. Last time I checked a studio apartment was going for 1400-1600 a month. And I'm in a small town and the studio is just one room with the kitchen and bedroom and living room connected.

So when they see a couple like this, even when there are times of struggle, the experiences still beat the "proper" life style. I've seen many videos on KZbin about people building out a van to live in, this is one of the best. Usually they look smaller, bare and a little boring. I am wondering if it has a real shower or a toilet, if so what kind. Many videos show this, it gives people ideas for building their own. Do you know if they have another video showing more of their van? I still can't get over the cabinets they built, love the way it really feels like a home. I'd like a van like this. Update: I slowed the playback speed to .25, took screen shots of the van. It's much bigger than I realized. It's described as a camper van, the couple called it an RV. During shoulder / low seasons, I have an SUV that I camp in. I'm not to this level with the van yet, but that's my end goal! What they're doing is becoming more and more common in the United States, though there is still something of a "homeless" stigma in cities with a high homeless population. So I stay out of there.
