I was impressed the most by the move the 630 and 01 made right at the end of the video. They both pulled their hardest and blew more crap out than I’ve ever seen come out of a locomotive. I’ve also never seen them pull that hard on a doubleheader. All in all great experience at Railfest.

This might be a bit controversial but I personally like 4501’s black paint better than its old green paint. It makes 4501 look smart and flashy while still being historically accurate.

Out of all the American Railroads you've ever had the pleasure to visit, is there a favourite that you love more than the rest, or do you like them all equally?

I don't like to play favorites but there are a few like the Cass Scenic Railroad, the Durango & Silverton, the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and the Reading & Northern that really stand out for their combination of great scenery and excellent displays of steam power.

Yes it was! I actually setup at the crossing west of there where he comes around a nice curve. He was telling me spoke to you and at it took me a while to realize it was you. I will be chasing Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum two times in October. One of the double headers and one 4501 solo.

So when #630 has to go down for her rebuild, does TVRM plan on having #610 done by that time?

They're still in the evaluation phase but the plan isn't to replace 630 during the rebuild but to extend her operating time by having 610 & 630 alternate service.

in case you were wonder smokey MTN steam the kid in teh cab of 630 in fire mans seat was actuly me taking a cab ride on the 630 that first trip out i recored with my dads go pro but i dont have it on my channel but i thoughet you mite like to know that eny way thats basicaly the awnser to that also will you be at tvrm when they ahve 4501 dressed as L&N 1593 just asking but enway thats it

610s restoration is just beginning, it was only moved into the shop a few weeks ago. It'll be a few more years before she runs again.

9:23 First off when can we possibly see 610 running again and will 630 go out of service once 610 is back in service or does 630 not require another rebuild in the next few years after 610 returns and if 630 doesn't need another rebuild in the next few years then that means one thing the museum will now have 3 operating steam locomotive on their roster and perhaps some triple header runs as well

I don't know about a completion date for 610, the restoration still hasn't really begun and they may still decide not to do it. 630 used up a lot of operating days running the mainline excursions from 2011 to 2014 and is still using a lot of days on the Local every year, and I've heard that at the current rate she may be out of service days in three or four years. If TVRM goes through with 610's restoration then it will share the Local duties and extend 630's service life until 2026 when she hits the 15-year mark, which would give them three engines until then.

They were annual from 2011 to 2018. In 2019 it was replaced with Founders Day, and the event didn't occur at all in 2020. I don't know if they plan to bring it back or not.
