Another great video, and thanks so much for highlighting Southern Rhone blanc as it's often overlooked. IMHO Cotes du Rhone Villages is the sweet spot for QPR value wines, though it's hard to find wine drinkers that don't enjoy CDP. Gigondas and Vacqueyras seem to get a lot of attention these days from Decanter, other wine writers and wine vloggers. So it might be cool to see more info about Tavel, Rasteau, Lirac, Ventoux, etc. Southern Rhone is a wine you can both enjoy without thinking too much about it or if you are feeling curious you can get into it's layers, complexity and all of the various elements. Cheers Agnes!

Thank You. Your input is always much appreciated and valued. I hear that Tavel is receiving lately a lot of investment, so it might be the next area with increased interest as well. 🙏🏻

Great video! Would love to see a video covering appellations we don’t hear about as much here in the US, like Cotes Du Ventoux and Cotes Du Vivarais.

I have been quite a few times in the southern Rhône. Besides the lovely landscape and sweet villages this region in general delivers great quality at reasonables prices. You can find real bargains, disguised as simple CdR, but often made by renowned producers. I purchased really good wines from Lirac, Vacqueras and Sablet (Domaine de Piaugier, which also produces Gigondas), but I think Cairanne has become the real gem of the southern Rhône. Excluding Châteauneuf-du-Pape of course.

I agree, these smaller, lesser known appellations certainly provide great value. And thank You for the names You mentioned! 🙏🏻

Luberon AOC could be an area to cover. Very close and very similar to southern Rhône. Keep up the great content!

Hi, just recently discoverd your channel and love it! Well brought and highly informative 👍 Which wine glasses do you use, and what is your opinion on grape varietal glasses? Keep up the great videos!

Thank You. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 It always gives extra push, when I read positive feedback. 🤗 At home I use Riedel Veritas mostly, simply because I like the aesthetics. For special occasions Zalto. Regarding on the grape varieties based wine glasses, I don’t want to make too much enemies, but I agree with Jancis Robinson, and there really is not a science that supports this. 🤷♀️ I should make the video on this - it could be very controversial.

Excellent video! I’m not sure I understand Chateau-ndp. The price compared to cotes du Rhône or Gigondas is not commensurate with the quality for me.

Thank You. 🙏🏻 There are some CdP wines that are simply amazing. One of my favourite is for sure Clos du Pape. But, of course, there can also be some that don’t deliver quality wise. 🤷♀️

With such a huge experience, what is your take on other fruit wines such as Apple cider/wine, pineapple wine, strawberry wine etc. Do you see any market for such wines ?
@NoSediment Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank You for Your comment. 🙏🏻 I live in a country where winemaking from vitis vinifera grapes is not really possible, therefore there is a lot of fruit winemaking. And in my experience, the best examples are made from apples, quince and rhubarb. ✨ Never have tasted pineapple wine, might be very exotic. 🤔
