I tried it today. I didn't separate the onions from the squash, but I pretty much followed the recipe and got good results. I think next time I might add some buttermilk to the mixture to give it a slightly more creamy taste...may throw in some broccoli to make it colorful...might use some whole wheat crackers instead of Ritz...throw in some chilli peppers to give it a little kick...there are several ways to tweak this dish. But it turned out well...thanks for sharing!

Hi Paula. I was looking up recipes for squash casserole just now, and saw your pleasing persona and decided to tune in. You have such a pleasing presentation. You are a beautiful, feminine person who carries herself like the lady that you are. You have such a smooth manner of conveying your procedure and it is simple and easy to understand. I make a squash casserole the same as yours, but I've never tried it with sour cream. Does the sour cream change the flavor of the squash casserole?? Because my family loves it how I make it, but the sour cream seems like a good game changer, as long as it doesn't change the flavor of the casserole.❤ your casserole looks amazing

You could possibly get away with making the dish with additional eggs to bind it together in place of the crackers. Not sure what to substitute for the squash though.
