@@6apone Nah,, actually it takes them 15 to 20 minutes to learn. Hell run it a few times at slower temps then when it's time to play it in public he speeds it up which is a change to everyone thus making it hyper as they play.

If you listen closely you can hear the upper ranges of the flutes and I think it adds a subtle effect, but other than that they are essentially drowned out

fr, pretty sure it's just cus the camera can't pick up the horn quality well. Like the recordings of my marching band comps. sound wayyy different on recording than in real life

Frannie the upper brass sounds fine, it’s just the tubas that sound really different. maybe it’s a HBCU tuba playing style since all of their tuba lines sound like this, but it’s also probably camera quality. We just never hear loud tuba sections all that often except in HBCU marching bands.

ERBOCH I don’t think he’s hating he’s just saying his opinion, for a good and balanced band it wouldn’t sound like this, don’t get me wrong it was nice but it was just a blatting battle the entire time. There really wasn’t anything to special but it sounded alright.

prince gomikuzu good question! its actually cause of slight intonation differences and the fact that brass players play by buzzing their lips, and because there’s so many, that buzzing is amplified

gomi ouji Another reason for what you are hearing are the sheer number of players playing at a high range, versus a more “normal” ensemble, which favors less and less voices towards the top and relying on overtones to make the balance work. The result is super super cool though
