There are some people that are straight up jealous of the this band. Every damn year, same hateful comments for this great band. Every other band can be themselves, play their music to sound like themselves, march and drill the way they always do. Ok, #HumanJukeBox, this was a good 1st showing. The band sounds incredible, and the precision marching was clean, orderly, and well on point. The Drum Major gave a good 1st showing, as did the Dolls. I’m looking forward to the upcoming season. The only thing I disagree with is the moved the SU vs JSU game to be played in September. That’s too early and so wrong, especially for those of us who look forward to the yearly anticipation that comes from the BoomBox Classic matchup. Oh well, I guess there’s a valid reason for it. #Southern #HumanJukeBox #OftenImitatedNeverDuplicated

The tribute was confusing and seemed more appropriate for a home setting. Still, the Jukes absolutely nailed "Precious Lord"--wow! I need the DM to MARCH down the 50 instead of walking, lol. The drill was good, but nothing special. I would have preferred to see something like the star drill, especially at a COLLEGE battle of the bands. The Dolls were fantastic! Shoutout to Traci and DT. The ballad was amazing, but I'm tired of hearing it! PLEASE BRING BACK "TWO HEARTS!" The band dance was really good, just wish it was longer. No major issues with the Jukes. The drill was lame and not really hitting on anything, but overall, the show was what we expected from SU--it was solid. Great show, JUKES! ❤🇺🇸

The tribute was confusing to you but not us (SU Fans) who are aware that one (1) band member died tragically about 3 weeks ago and last years 3 band members were killed while changing a flat tire on the highway in Texas hit by an 18 wheeler truck. To these directors who worked with these students, it is heartbreaking and they did a tribute which was appropriate not just at home but anywhere because two many young black men are losing their lives( it could have been young women). A tribute is appropriate anywhere because the young people were a significant part of this organization and these Directors are compassionate! I hope this clears up your confusion. This band is a powerhouse and extremely musically inclined. I never thought that the dance routines were their strong point, it was refreshing to see them throw in a little dancing, but get right back to the music. I really enjoyed this show and how they ended with the music as well. Great job band

They do not have many out there to watch! Everything Greggs did has been adapted by other bands. They used to laugh at our Circle Formations, now every band is making circles, now they are making triangular formations, JSU had their five drum majors dancing with their girls, so everything we do, it's being imitated. Look at the videos of the other schools. I want them to up the ante and play upbeat music in the stands like they used to and JAM so the SU team will be hyped to win GAMES!

Ok yeah Greg's had them drills in the 90s . Use to love when they put the score on the field which was tight. Never met him but use to gow he wanted excellence and was military like. Also heard him not being receptive of girls in the band during his erra U have sove vids on the tube from 90s swac schools. Mvsu use to do circle drill also in fall 98. Bet kids of today never heard of swac page either fall 98 stuff 90s were way better swac wise. Use to hear old jokers from 80s say yeah fam to scared to come to baton lounge git a kick out of those guys jaw janking

Dr. Taylor did the score for the first game in 2022 when we played LSU and we were losing so much, it was embarrassing to put the scores up for a lot of the games in the last couple of years. Maybe, this year, they might go back to doing the score!

Good job Dolls!!! Jukebox was ok...definitely not the winner in this botb. The fieldshows and arrangements are .........boring....no "wow" factor. The Jukebox needs some seasoning, some flavor....everything is just bland. The execution is there . But the show is almost dull. Its not alive....it doesnt draw you in wanting more. Staff needs to revamp. Go on a retreat or something. Get the fire back, cuz its BEEN missing
