@everybody- When S.U. Cranked "We Are One", it was officially over for the night. Night Night Now...TSU tried, I love their competitive spirit-but c'mon son. S.U. is a well oiled machine that practices until the sun comes up and then heads to the field to practice some more. It's just different in Baton Rouge.

SU reminds me of the Pittsburgh Steelers who are six time Super Bowl champions. They have always been hated because of their success and being the first to win four Super Bowls 5 Super Bowls and 6 Super Bowls. the SU band has always handed those so called big boys their asses since the seventies. I know because I've been to many games where they appeared, which includes Tallahassee, Jacksonville, where they would meet with Bethune Cookman, Nashville, Montgomery and Houston.... just saying! and oh yeah! I'm not an SU graduate. Just a band director that also graduated from an HBCU in the seventies

SU plays together and very balanced more than they ever were before..and they definitely got the best book in the game and best trio of arrangers....I'm just a band head who calls it how I see it...and of course they blow like hell... this the SWAC.. got nothing against BCU besides that garbage book lol

D Owens I'm not sure if you heard about the Queen City battle of the band in North Carolina, Talladega will be there miles college will be there bethune-cookman will be there South Carolina State will be there North Carolina A&T will be there Alabama A&M would be there just to name a few, I'm really going to see miles college and Talladega crank up on every band there including BCU ....lol.... you're 100% correct the intensity belongs to the swac, one day BCU will upgrade their playbook but until then even though I'm a cookman fan the swac is way more entertaining than the MEAC

The call outs are individual sections, the point is you can't hear them during the songs when it matter. The other sections drown them out, the band lacks balance. Oh, and you can hear Southern loud and clear during all of their songs, so please believe txsu wanted no parts of them during their call-outs. They were spared.

I was at the game and i think neither band played there best material but they both did really well. To me txsu won the tuba battle and halftime show but the juke took zero and 5th quarter. I know su in the honda battle but im not sure about txsu but i think they are so they probably saving up for that. SU play some of there best material in the boombox classic botb
