What a fantastic tutorial Marty! Very clean, cut and dry instructions. I’m really looking forward to the review on the 773! 😊👍

I think I am going to stick to this for the Base3 videos. One subject, as short and sweet as possible. This one was even longer than I wanted. Thanks for watching.

@@MartyEI made one because there wasn’t any videos out on it for the base 3 as of yet. I had many people asking me to do a video on it. I’d never done anything like that before. I do believe the shorter the video, the more viewers are likely to continue watching. I really enjoyed your video. I love Sean’s, he really goes into details and that’s what non-technical people need.

@@TwistedMacGyversTrains Sean's deep dive are really good and I felt no need to replicate those. I love so many people are passionate enough to make these videos. It helps the whole community!

Received my base 3. Getting use to the app. Own only MTH DCS system with remote. Mostly use the MTH DCS app and not the remote. Got into the train hobby 4 years ago. MTH engines were more affordable that is why I purchased them over Lionel. I do own 4 Lionel Legacy engines, and 1 Lionel lion chief 2.0 engine. I just always used the Lion Chief app. to run my Lionel engines. Thanks for doing this video. Makes me want to get more Lionel chief engines now.

Thanks. I'm definitely looking at other locomotive options now as well.

I like the speed steps and control the DCS has built in.

Really good video Marty, thanks for taking the time to do this video. I’m still playing with my new base 3 and app. Coming along. Great to use one device to control all of my engines.

It’s a little learning curve and it’s not perfect yet but I expect it to all come together.

Great video. Probably won't invest in one as I only have 1 lionel train with tmcc and it is the Canadian Pacific F3 set. I will just run it conventionally through my DCS system. Thanks

@@azslotracer thanks for watching. I imagine with only 1 Lionel engine the DCS system is perfect. I can’t wait for the new WTIU. My TIU finally died.
@azslotracer14 сағат бұрын
@MartyE well hopefully you don't have to wait long for the wtiu to get here.
@MartyE7 сағат бұрын
@@azslotracer I hope not. We've been waiting on it longer than Base3.

Marty, what gives power to the track and trains? How is a transformer hooked to the track with the cab base 3?
@MartyE28 күн бұрын
The transformer is connected to the track as always. Hot to center rail, common to outside rails. The Base3 "U" terminal goes to either the transformer common or in this case I have it connected right to the outside rail. The Base3 is just a signal processor and provides no power to the track.
