@SouthernASMRSounds8 жыл бұрын
Aldi is the only store that I know of in my area that does this with their carts. Looking at larger stores, I'm surprised they don't do it. I can't imagine how much they spend in paying people to retrieve the carts from the parking lot (not to mention all the carts that wander off down the road...some of the into the ditch). I guess they don't want to inconvenience shoppers. You'd have to make sure you had a quarter with you to use one, and maybe they're afraid it would cause some people not to get a cart. I don't know. I really wish they did it, though. I hate all those free-range carts!

It is so funny for me as german that you guys in America are so fascinated with Aldi, Lidl and Co, because here in Germany, where Aldi and Lidl are originally from, people are kind of tired of these huge supermarkets. Most people decide to buy in little stores again - even if it costs a little more. And some even look out for plastic free stores, because plastic is so bad for the environment. Amazing that Aldi is something new to you Americans. Nevertheless I love your southern accent and your show and tells. 😉
@Fortheloveofagypsy6 жыл бұрын
Welcometomyw0rld It's not a fascination. Idk who would actually be fascinated with a supermarket. Ppl here talk about Aldi because it's less expensive than other large stores. WALMART is a huge chain here and they probably have the biggest non-membership required grocery stores and they are always larger, by far, than any Aldi that I've seen. In most large cities in America, that I've been in, there aren't a lot of small grocery stores to choose from, but Whole Foods is plastic free and they are a large chain. Aldi isn't new to most of us "people" either. I've seen Aldi for years now in a lot of states. Mary, does grocery hauls from Walmart and Dollar Tree. I doubt she's "fascinated" with those stores, either. ;ppp

So id think doing the odd noisier one would be ok?
