10/18/23 - What is the dates of the Cotton season ? Does it all have to be picked before a Frost?

It doesn’t have to be picked before frost but it must be defoliated before frost.

nice looking crop! A round module is about 4 to 5 or so 480lb bales right? Interesting the picker is showing pounds based on lint per acre. How does it know the seed weight?!

Do you haft to calculate gin turn to get lint per ac. nice looking cotton I'm just hoping for 600 to 750 this year we are a couple weeks out.

Enjoy video,yall had some good crops.Farmer east of Hattiesburg cotton and peanut crop told me they are down to a 1/3 of normal crop.

Not enough to matter. A lot of the white you are seeing left behind is not lint, it’s the color of the inside of picked bolls
