Hey Jeff- thanks, brother! I would go do that trip again in a heartbeat!! I will be back to the Buffalo someday! Yes, that Yukon looks good about anywhere...lol! That solar panel is 40 watts and I've been very pleased with it. You can get 60W panels that are close to the same size/design. I got mine on Amazon- search for "FlexSolar 40W Foldable Solar Panel Charger".

Is that the same Jerry that went with us on the Cahaba Lilies Trip?? In his Prijon Yukon Expedition?? Also, is that a purple Next? It would be a toss up about which boat I would carry if I ever get to go to the Buffalo. The Yukon...ehh...I need more gear. LOL!. The Next...eh...i wanna carry more gear... I would probably carry my big Old Town canoe. But who knows with me?? I am digging the video and can't wait for the rest of the series. Shan could see my excitement an asked why I don't just get the Bite Me Expeditioners up and plan our own trip.... The got me to thinkin'...
@SouthernPaddler2 жыл бұрын
No, this was a different Jerry (but the same Wes). :-) But yes, that was a purple next. Probably more gear in the Next, but drier gear in the Yukon...lol. But Charlie (purple Next) didn't take on that much. It just splashed in a few times. Man, you got to do the Buffalo National River. It's SOOO worth it!!!

March 25th - 31st of 2023. Temps varied, but were roughly 50-60s during the day and 30-40s at night. 126-130 miles traveled (measurements varied between members). I'd do it again in a heartbeat and hope I can do it again soon!!! Just a little north in Missouri is the Current River which is a close second to this one!!

Man lt look like an awesome trip on the Buffalo River. First day sound like it had a lot of action going on. I can definitely agree with you buddy it's so much fun being on the water. & now that I got my wife and kids kayaking it is much more fun especially with my wife cuz she does not like River water. But thanks to her co-worker she's now learning river water is not that bad. I'm glad the weather was cooperating & not extremely cold out there. Dan I have a question? Would it be too much to ask you could you do a gear list of what you took with you on the Buffalo River? I can't wait to see the rest. Thank you for sharing this video. I'd enjoy watching it.

@SouthernPaddler Жыл бұрын
Awesome- no, the Next handled it like a champ. It's a great boat. The only negative I've seen with that boat is that it seems to fill up quickly (and ride low)...especially when you're packing for 3-day or more trips.

Thanks - it was. I used an Old Town Saranac 160. The purple boat was a Old Town Next. The green canoe might have been a Mad River 16ft. One kayak was a Prijon Yukon Expedition and I'm not sure what the other kayak was.
