I worked my first ever wildfire 7 years ago it was a eye-opening experience with hotshot crew's from all over the Western United States. Those crew's are absolute beast's the work on the worst area's on the mountains and some of them are out on the fire line for 5 to 14 days straight and I was in charge of getting a list of supplies that they needed to be able to work and enough fluids to stay hydrated. They would need 2 stroke oil, gas, water, bar oil, batteries for there radios, every single day and sometimes twice day depending on the brush and tree's they had to clear to make the containment line of the fire. You will never meet a group of guys and girls who work as hard as they do day in and day out. I was grateful to say I got to work with them like I did for 14 days straight and I would do in a heartbeat again

When you go do you run code or at a normal speed to a while land fire out in another state?

I live in California (Bay area) and have seen a lot of strike team responses. When they are multiple hours away and responding to a large area normally just normal speed, however when they had the fires in sonata in the middle of the night, and they needed resources ASAP they would role code 3.

You should go up on an air tanker when you go on a wireless in fire call and shoot videos from there and how the operation goes from up there
