Correction: This is estate is *Wood dene / The Acorn Estate* SE15. Peckham. (demolished in 2007). Also, why is not date given for filming/production?

I use to live next to this estate it was known as 1 of the most deprived estates in Britain at one point. and had a very high crime rate so before all of you talk shit about them kids.. just know alot of you would have been victims if you walked through.. Nothing to glorify living in this shit but growing up in these type of areas you see and are exposed to alot at a young age. Don't look at these kid's as spoilt when they had to grow up in a crime infested estate that adults was scared of living in

That estate was 1 minute from my grandads house, me and my brother used to walk through it (what were we thinking? never had any trouble though) and the safer low rise bit to get to his road just off the estate. Pity its still urban wasteland after being demolished 2 years ago...

Yo that's cool that u lived in london like i'm a living in the states now. London is compared to NY frequently because they are of similar size. crimes in chi 2008: 176,490 crimes in chi 2008 if same size as london: 460,543 Crimes in NO 2006 if same size as london: 570,000 london still has more crime except people just don't seem to kill and rape as much in london which is really very good

If you look very carefully is that Crime is rising due to poverty, it's when people don't earn any money or anything, they start stealing and criminals are starting to build on from that stage to another.

@codownni Possibly true in many cases, but clearly poverty is not the result of a lack of intelligence and laziness. I agree, our state does too much to facilitate indolence. Nobody who works should receive less than anybody who lives on benefits. But to accuse all those born into poverty and lack of opportunity of being lazy and lacking in intelligence smacks of the latter in yourself, my friend.
