@@VASGOT88 It isn't lol. There haven't been any crashes after the grounding. They've fixed all of the issues this plane has had. I've flown on one. It's quiet, smooth, and no issues whatsoever.

I feel completely fine flying on a max. I flew on one on my way back from Idaho. It was about an hour flight but it was incredibly smooth. Very comfortable, I'd fly on one anytime.

I flew on Southwest’s MAX 8 a month ago, and I’ve got to say, it was the smoothest and quietest flight I’ve ever been on. I trust that Boeing and the FAA have done everything they need to to make sure that the MAX is safe.

I would have no problem flying on a MAX - it’s likely one of the safest aircraft flying now after all the scrutiny it went through.

Yeah no. The name is forever tarnished and the fact that it needed that much scrutiny is concerning. What if the regulators missed something. The Chinese civil authorities are still unwilling to give the MAX the go ahead. I trust them more than the FAA, which likely caved into Boeing.

Personally I think the 737 always been a beautiful airplane, I mean it’s smooth lines, the somewhat pointy nose, the CFM International LEAP engines which by the way sound amazing when they’re spooling up! It just makes this airplane nothing but beautiful and it really has been a true workhorse in the aviation industry since it first came out back in 1967.

LOVE the pointy nose. That is so unapologetically Boeing. Most airframes now have a more rounding nose. Those CFMs with the flat bottoms are unapologetically 737. Such an iconic airplane and I think people overlook that because it's so common.

@@mylesdias8453 hey ima Douglas jets guy !!! Now the MDs were gorgeous . Even with Boeing the 757 is the far the best looking and performance jet... the 737 are just ugly and old and slow . It work on em every day . I watch in Atlanta every 737-900er use the whole runway to get off the ground. they were not meant to be stretched this far . That nose and flat engine cowls are the worst

Love the MAX, it reminds me of the 737-800 except much more quiet. Southwest has been very loyal with Boeing and the American economy since GE built the first engines for the original 737.

Pratt & Whitney built the 1st engines for 737-100 & 200, JT8D. Also used on 727, DC-9 & many others.

I flew the max back in 2017 PHX-LAS and it was a complete surprise to me since we were connecting thru PHX and we where late for our LAS flight. We had to run to the gate and didn’t have time to see what plane it was till I walked on board

I flew the max on AA from LAX-DCA in Dec 2018 and it was quiet. I remember that. I enjoyed the in-seat power, esp since it was a cross-county haul. Sad SWA lacks that...

I scheduled to see my father in FL on SW and just today noticed that it is on a Max 8. Initially became very concerned and looked for some info. I agree with your comment at the end of the video that it is the most recently scrutinized aircraft, and probably has a safety advantage right now. THANK YOU! :)

Just flew southwest on 4 planes to and from DC. Our last plane was supposed to be a max 8 but was substituted for a 800 for mechanical reasons.

To answer your question: yes I would feel comfortable flying on a max. It is in my opinion the prettiest airplane in the skies right now, before it’s grounding I described it as a “mini-Dreamliner” primarily because of its massive engines. And considering that Boeing spent 2 years mending the issues and pilots have nothing but good things to say about it... yes I’d get on one.

Would I fly on a MAX 8? Probably. As you pointed out, Boeing's reputation and future as an aircraft manufacturer is seriously riding on the success of the "fixed" MAX 8 & 9. Ciao.....

I absolutely LOVE the SWA seats on their newer cabins. I would much rather fly economy with SWA than any other US Domestic airline. I think the personal electronic device holder on the seatbacks of each seat on some of the AA seats is an ingenious way to let people mount their phones, etc for viewing content from their respective inflight entertainment apps, but .. the seats and general interior of the new SWA product is great. I also enjoy the traditional recline instead of the tricky pivoting seats.

I think Southwest is moving slow with the repaints to have a variety in their liveries. Maybe I'm wrong but that sounds like the only reason. Nice video!

Is AS the only MAX with life vests in the overhead? I don't recall seeing it on the AA Max-8 or the WN. The Southwest seats look comfy, but def points off for no USB. WN, B6 and AS all have amazing cabin crews. Another good video, Emilio!

Yea, lately this past August, I’ve flown in Southwest Airlines, to Minneapolis from New York, and it was a fantastic experience because they had open seats onboard, where I can sit anywhere I want to sit. You won’t get such experience in any other airline, to be honest.

Thanks for the video! A couple typos....No fuzz at the gate? Maybe fuss or you really meant fuzz. 👮‍♀️ I've flown Southwest a couple hundred times since 1991, never had a bad flight. Only a few long weather delays and once the pilots oxygen mask was broke and couldn't be fixed right away, so we offloaded and took over a plane across the hall. Quick efficient resourceful. And of course, they never had ubs/chargers. We can only hope. Yes I would fly a Max of any US carrier, European too!

Not trying to defend Boeing, but do you think the media underreported how pilot error was also a major factor in those 2 Max crashes? If this plane was so flawed as the media said why wasn’t there many more crashes before the Indonesian crash? The Max had hundreds of thousands flight hours before the first crash.

When are you flying to Europe again? There are currently lots of good promo fares to Europe both from the US and Mexico. Besides, there are also plenty of Indigo hotels for you to visit in Europe ;-)

As a former Boeing employee I have had great interest in the 737 MAX issues, and while it can fly straight OK there are still questions on some parts of the flight envelope at high angle of attack. There are a number of Boeing ‘whistleblower’ accounts that are very concerning. Also do you truly trust Boeing and FAA now. Do your own research. One more thing some pilots have concerns about the amount of ‘memory items’ required in the event of an emergency similar to the 2 crashes. So ya I’m still a bit concerned to fly myself and my family on it, but glad you and people are flying in it safely so far after ungrounding. I expect I will feel more safe after maybe 1 year of flights with no further MCAS and AOA sensor issues.
