Thanks for promoting equipment that I can afford. I was shocked to find this bow for about the same price that I paid for a tournament quality American Supreme Target bow I used for field and target competition back in the 70s. 38# draw/28". It was a long recurve but I can't remember the length. I loved it. I hope I like this one as well. Thanks for the great review. My confidence is growing. I haven't pulled a string since about 1984. That was on a Bear Flare compound...which I never learned to shoot well.) I'm going to need some practice. BTW, I was shooting in a Double American Round tournament in the early 70s and was shocked at the weird bow down the line from me. It was one of the first Allen compound bows out. Odd duck to say the least and everyone laughed and said "it'll never fly." Boy were they wrong or what? Thanks again. RB PS: My new Spyder XL and all accessories I ordered is/are out for delivery today and I am gettin all gooey waiting for it. I need to order rubber O rings for making my finger bow slings. Pot holder loops, shrink tubes and O rings and you have some ez to make finger slings for shooting open hand. The pot holder loops are much easier on the fingers than Paracord. The shrink tube is the center serving, so to speak and holds the loop material tight and is a buffer to help the loop material last longer. The rings can be spun a few times to shorten the assembly is needs be.

You are welcome, my friend. I try to find and promote items that new archers can get into that are safe and affordable. I would enjoy hearing about your experience with the XL. I love mine and could never part with it. I too have a couple of the older style bear compound bows. These were gifts from people who had them in their closets and never shot them. Had some good fun shooting them for a while. My wife keeps asking if I will ever give them or get rid of them. I like to keep them around. Great information on the finger slings. I will have to give that a go when I make more of them. I really appreciate your time and the comment. Keep me in the loop on your journey! If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. Have a great day! Best regards

Hi Scott! Wow, i just saw your vid and didn't realize until just now that we both bought/reviewed the same bow about the same time! Great minds.....grin. Your unboxing and detailed review was great. I did some velcro in the string grooves, and cat whiskers on the string. Mine is now VERY quiet. When I did my vid, I was wearing the mic on my shirt pocket, and you can barely hear the bow. Anyhoo, great vid, thanks for sharing, and I am equally impressed with my Spyder XL. Take care, Shane

Thanks my friend. How does the velcro in the string groove work for you? I tried it on my sage but haven't on others that I own. Having shot mine for a bit now, I have nothing negative to say about. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment my friend. Have a great day brother. Best regards
@shanepitzer41263 жыл бұрын
@@ScottWinters The velcro seems to work pretty good. I have some of the calf hair string groove pads on one set of ILF limbs. It's the stuff from 3Rivers. So in comparison, the velcro seems to work just as well, if not better. The velcro has a bit more 'fluff' than the calf hair. I bought a roll of it on Amazon. Take care and keep pulling that string back! Shane

Lol, I do like my Sage. That being said, I think SWA is putting out some quality bows that are easy on the wallet. I promise you that had it tanked I would definitely be open about it. The last thing I ever want to do is tell people something is good when it definitely is not. I would go against who I am and is not an ethical thing to do, especially for people just starting out. @@ScottWinters bye no means did I take any negativity in what you said. And maybe the way I worded it did not come out right, I know that you like the Samick siege and what I was saying is you your self would have to say that that bow is a lot sleeker And better looking than the chunky boxy Samick. Thanks for the comment my friend. I might do a comparison between the two. I've gotten a few questions about the limbs being interchangeable between the two. That's an awesome suggestion.
