Southwick Pro National Race Vlog - FIRST LAP CHAOS

This was a really tough weekend for me physically, but I'm glad I decided to man up and go for it! Really happy to make it in straight through practice and carry some momentum into my home town race at REDBUDDD. See you guys this weekend!

Man, I would really love to work with someone like Ron, I just know how expensive that type of training can be. Those guys race moto for a living and can justify reinvesting that much into their program, but sadly for me this is just a hobby. Like I said, it would be a dream to work with someone like Ron and I really appreciate you reaching out! Realistically it's just not in the cards for me.

Love these videos! Nice job handling it solo for the weekend. Just wish factory Honda would sponsor you, so you could get a faster bike. During the holeshot, the other guys' bikes ahead of you seem so much faster. You've definitely got the riding skills to go top 10, just not a fast enough bike. In my opinion, it just goes to show that big money has a significant advantage in professional racing sports. Privateers, no matter how good they are, will have a really hard time reaching the top. Thank you bro for showing us the true realities of professional racing - for me, it's a real eye opener.

youre dehydrated bro! Dont just drink that Protein shake.. but drink lots of water after drinking protein. finish atleast 1 gallon each day. dehydration cant be replenished by drinkin fluids that makes you think that youre not thirsty anymore, BUT your body actually still needs it.... Mate, I think the GoPro brought you a bit of luck at the start. A good start would have put you right amongst the first bit of carnage, and if not, more than likely you would have been smack bang in the middle of the second crash. Congrats on the 33rd. It's a pity about the second race, but that is life sometimes. I hope your feeling better now. What's the chances of putting up the entire race one footage? The rigors of pro mx are real my friend. Hang in there. You need a modification to your holeshot technique. I was a holeshot bandit even at Loretta s. Let me help. The theory is to blast out full throttle with no wheelie or side to side movement. Need more weight forward. Slide groin up to the saddle and get head over the bars. Left foot on the peg and right foot down. Foot on peg allows you to get to the shifter fast and predictable. The guy who shifts first out of the gate usually gets holeshot. Because the no wheelie or handlebars movement allows for full throttle the entire start straight . Best of luck
